i agree it was a poor showing for namor, but my overall point stands--most meetings between them are very close and indecisive. adding basically a second thing should be enough to get ben and pete the win.

Not really. Namor casually no selling Thor and Iron man is beyond Ben which he did just recently.

He did. But there was some context to that.

Namor wasn't *really* attacked by his friends, it was a surprise party or something and they were only trying to distract him.

It was still a beastly showing, as Ben is just not the guy who you can casually dismiss with a single punch --- regardless of whether he is serious or not.

Then there's his whole rivalry thing with Namor.

You can count on one hand the top tiers who have oneshotted Ben. The list excludes Thor, Silver Surfer, Hyperion, Hulk etc, etc.

Yeah, I myself like to remind everyone how well Thing did against the likes of Thor or Herc.

Namor always jobs when Cap's involved lol

if there has been some sort of official upgrade recently that would obviously change things. if he just has a couple good showings recently, not sure that would be enough yet to change my opinion.

He did get Hydro-Man's powers. Had the Serpent Crown, too (not sure if he still does or is affected by it).

But, most importantly, there's this "righteous rage" amp which is not exactly clear. But his performance was crazy. In the Avengers scans that you ignored, old man. They were reposted 333 times.

He actually wtfpwned Cap several times.

Intercepting and beating him with his own shield, breaking his arm or no-selling his blows, like above.

Cap has good showings against him, too, but it doesn't happen too often.
