Riot Panel Investigating Trump for Criminal Conspiracy

Donald Trump Jr., Fox News personalitie,s and lawmakers unsuccessfully implored then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on January 6th to get Donald Trump to stop the violence unfurling at the U.S. Capitol, according to text messages relayed by the House committee investigating the attack.

Those texts, as several members of the committee noted, were already turned over to the panel and are not covered by any claim of privilege—which Meadows has continued to assert since reversing his decision to cooperate with the investigation. Meadows did not address the text messages while discussing the committee's vote with Fox News' Sean Hannity later Monday.

"Mark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home," Fox News prime-time star Laura Ingraham texted Mark Meadows. "This is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy."

Kilmeade, who co-hosts the morning show "Fox & Friends," urged Meadows in a text message to "please get him on TV." He said that the riot was "destroying everything you have accomplished."

While Ingraham that afternoon called the attack "disgraceful," and said that "the president needs to tell everyone to leave the building," later that night, she suggested on-air that the rioters were left-wing agitators.

Donald Trump Jr. said in a series of text messages to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows that his father needed to "condemn" the U.S. Capitol insurrection as it unfolded.

"He's got to condemn this shit ASAP. The Capitol Police tweet is not enough," Trump Jr. wrote in one message to Meadows, according to the committee's vice chairwoman, Republican Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming.

Cheney detailed that when Meadows had texted back that he agreed, Trump Jr. said, "We need an Oval office address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand."

The House select committee investigating the Capitol attack is examining whether Donald Trump oversaw a criminal conspiracy on 6 January that connected the White House's scheme to stop Joe Biden's certification with the insurrection, say two senior sources familiar with the matter.

The committee's new focus on the potential for a conspiracy marks an aggressive escalation in its inquiry as it confronts evidence that suggests the former president potentially engaged in criminal conduct egregious enough to warrant a referral to the justice department.

House investigators are interested in whether Trump oversaw a criminal conspiracy after communications turned over by Trump's former chief of staff Mark Meadows and others suggested the White House coordinated efforts to stop Biden's certification, the sources said.

How the US deals with this will define how seriously the world takes its brand of democracy.

They're semi-democratic. They're quasi-democratic. They're the margarine of democracy. They're the Diet Coke of democracy: just one corporate duopoly, not democratic enough!

Cultists Forged State Docs Declaring Trump Winner

As Trump's team pushed its discredited voter fraud narrative, the National Archives received forged certificates of ascertainment declaring him and then-Vice President Mike Pence the winners of both Michigan and Arizona and their electors after the 2020 election. Public records requests show the secretaries of state for those states sent those certificates to the January 6 panel, along with correspondence between the National Archives and state officials about the documents.

The National Archives sent emails to the Arizona secretary of state on December 11, 2020 passing along the forged certificates "for your awareness," and informing the state officials the Archives would not accept them. Arizona then took legal action against at least one of the groups who sent in the fake documents, sending a cease and desist letter to a pro-Trump "sovereign citizen" group telling them to stop using the state seal and referring the matter to the state attorney general.

Sending forged documents to the National Archives, isn't that a Federal crime?

The needle has shifted; Trump could be charged
I am no longer convinced that Trump will avoid the legal comeuppance he has earned.

The Nevada Republican Party sent the federal government documentation certifying the election for Donald Trump, even though the state's real electors for President Joe Biden had already done the same, documents indicate.

The certificate, which looks much different than the official state one, reads, "We, the undersigned, being the duly elected and qualified electors for president and vice president of the United States of America from the State of Nevada, do hereby certify" six electoral votes for Trump.

An envelope accompanying the documents indicates the packet was sent via certified mail to the National Archives from rural Minden, Nevada later that day. It arrived in Washington, D.C. on December 22nd.

This explains why in December of 2020, the Nevada GOP held a public signing ceremony, during which the fake electors piously removed their MAGA hats to pray.

How are these criminals not being charged and arrested?

This is more election tampering and they literally left a paper trail that can be traced back to its certified mailing and onward.

It looks like the Michigan Attorrney General and the January 6 Committee are:

Falsified documents claiming Michigan's electors voted for Donald Trump were given by state election officials to a congressional panel investigating the January 6, 2021 riot.

Sixteen Republicans, including the current co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party, signed certificates asserting they were Michigan's presidential electors and sent the illegitimate documents to the National Archive.

A spokesperson for the Michigan Attorney General's Office said the documents are part of an ongoing investigation into "election-related matters."

Three of the above-cited Republicans were also party to a failed lawsuit seeking to overturn the result of Michigan's presidential vote.
