but i was wondering the same thing about the wendigo. i mean mauvais, for example is vastly different. i can tell you from firsthand knowledge (little known fact, i'm the one who began instituting the tier threads lo those many years ago....then digi assumed the care-taker role) that the tier-version of wendigo was the one that battled hulk and logan. if you took mauvais, you'd get a very different powerset though. personally he'd be the one i'd take assuming it's an option. i don't have a problem with it though he might be pushing the tier limit..... mauvais and fff would be AWESOME to see. 😂

Well that seems to decide it.
The version in the list as chosen was the one who fought Logan/Hulk, not Mauvais......which as you say, had a vastly different powerset and isn't the one you had in mind when placing Wendigo originally.
true, but the list is....not terribly complete. i think we could add mauvais to the lh list, though km might say mh. i'm fine with what everyone else wants.
by the same token, the lobo listed is the lobo from his earlier appearaances--ie--the one who fought superman in that famous headlock scene. lol

I'm not talking about power creep. I'm talking about completely different characters - n52 emo Lobo, for example, being used instead of biker Lobo. Using Hal's feats for Kyle (and vice versa).
Jane Foster and Odinsons feats used interchangeably. Hell, it's like using alt. Universe characters for mainstream.
As you say, you placed the Logan/Hulk Wendigo at that tier, and Mauvais is a completely different character who isn't on the tier list. So.....not sure what the hullabaloo is about, lol.

Yeah it is lacking quite a few characters and there are some listed that it doesn't cover the variations of. Like the afore mentioned Starman. Or for that matter Captain Comet. I assume that the version listed is classic who was a class 100 invulnerable brick with occasionally used (hebuses it about as much as silver age MMH) TP, TK. But then we have comet from mystery in space (post resurection) who's strength is more on the level of low meta and has crap durability but whis TP got a major kick in power level. Based on the fact he could casually TP reprogram the Wierd that MMH couldn't even read would probably still qualify as the same level based purely on his mental powers.

only issue is i don't know for sure which versions digi used or which versions were intended in the revisions.
phil can weigh in, as can the others. to me so long as the spirit of the tier isn't broken, idc what versions of the characters are used. so long as they are declared and agreed upon. /shrug

Unless specified [i.e. 'mortal Hercules', 'Ketch Ghost Rider', 'depowered Juggernaut' or somesuch], it's essentially the broad recognizable version, not a very particular incarnation.

saint and bentley could be a really tough battle to call tbh. looking forward to seeing that. ds sort of cursed himself when he suggested a full on brick battle. looks like he got his wish. 😂
