Earth is the battlefield, New York is just a starting point.

As said in the 1st tourney thread post and also discussed in this thread.

battlefield = normal Earth that regenerates [i.e. can't be permanently destroyed], can't leave the battlefield without getting back in max 30 sec.
- Mirror Dimension is not considered as BFR. It's a valid dimension to be in without losing the match by self-BFR and it's also not considered as BFR-ing the opponent

So you can leave the battlefield of New York, and hang out in another country for instance, indefinitely if possible, and that wouldn't be a self BFR ? Real question, just clarifying!

Yes. It's essentially just going to another part of the battlefield.

Leaving Earth and not returning in 30 sec would be BFR since you're no longer on the battlefield.
