Ocean > MountainThat was before the reboot. She seems to be even more powerful now...
The side effect of her attacking a magical dome non stop for days was it created an east coast engulfing wave...
https://m.imgur.com/a/SFe9ZEast Coast engulfing wave (by a side effect) > Mountain
Then let’s mention Drowned Earth where she held back what Batman called a Global flood temporarily in an effort to try to protect Atlantis.
https://m.imgur.com/gallery/JIqgJxMIf you mean physically lift a mountain. Her physicals are irrelevant her hydrokinesis is her trade marked ability and even then she’s able to contend with a Black Lantern Wonder Woman which would imply Diana isn’t really holding back on top of the fact the whole Black Lantern thing makes Wonder Woman undead
https://m.imgur.com/gallery/u4zFQbyThis is ignoring her already beating the Justice League or the fact Ocean Master who she beat did the same..
Good points

As impressive as Mera's push has been, I can't see her getting a majority over Superman.
I’d agree if it wasn’t for the thread title. A standard Superman is up for interpretation but standard for me is the one we get appearing in other characters books and story arcs and honestly off showings Superman can range a helluva lot more while Mera being less popular and appearing less doesn’t get dragged by finding a medium. Not to mention the title suggest she’s at her best.
Overall it’s a bait thread. Probably didn’t like my comments on Superman vs Hulk and trying to get me to argue with Superfan crowd

ofc it would , we live in a society where batman beats a god like alien to enhance the storytelling let alone an atlantean.
By exploiting his weaknesses. Like kryptonite/red sun. When did Mera do any of that?
Sounds like excuses to ignore stuff you don’t like in a book. There’s like 3 or 4 examples of Mera a side character contending with high tiers in Post-Flashpoint continuity more if we go by portrayals and what writers have stated in the books she appeared in.

your argument for Mera is her dehydration ability and mind control ? i could give you multiple examples of why that wouldn't work.

She doesn’t have the ability to mind control. I want examples of Superman easily defeating her that counter the time she held him and Wonder Woman captive in a water bubble.
I’d love feats that show dehydration would work on Superman too. Not stuff claiming that he can survive without food or water but actually survive getting his internal liquids drained from his body.
I’ve followed both characters since Post-Flashpoint and the only argument would come down to speed. By scaling a case could be made for Mera who’s not going to have as many feats to counter Superman’s actual speed feats.

Why are we limiting this to post Flashpoint?
I’m not I’m bringing up Mera’s portrayals after Flashpoint. Current Superman aka Rebirth Superman at the very least is suppose to be a merger of Post-Crisis and New52 Superman. So I’d have no reason to even make that argument to begin with. It’s all on portrayal is my point and you guys are trying to sell Mera short. Which makes no sense given her portrayal since honestly Blackest Night onward.

Current is also Pre Crisis Superman, just pointing that out.Carv can of course come in and change his stips to try and nerf Superman, but as it stands all of DC is canon.
Is he though? I get continuity is a bit of a mess and everything was suppose to happen but even if we factored all that in there’s still the matter of the title stating (Standard) Superman. A lot of those Pre-Crisis feats don’t hold up after COIE with a few outliers here and there. It’s all up to interpretation and this is a bait thread but I’m pretty sure the OP intention was wanting a Superman that interacted with Mera in that JL issue by Abnett.
