I think there’s a difference in being the strongest being on the planet and being the most powerful. Same thing with Flash being the fastest I don’t think it makes him the most powerful.

I think power has a number of variables. It’s not just how strong, fast or durable you are. It could also be how versatile you are, how you use your powers, and the equipment you have and could call upon.

I think a case could legitimately be made for Superman if you look through his entire history. Where he’s done stuff like absorb magical energy, phase through attacks, move so fast it was like time was frozen, used his heat vision to lobotomize. That’s versatility on top of power. Again it could just be a statement but you could make a genuine case for Superman being the most powerful being on the planet if you play up all his ability and powers off feats already shown.

That is just 1 of the numerous of times Hulks been called this. I don't think versatility have anything to do with it either. Example, Silver Surfer is far more versatile than Superman and most feel Supes could match him. 90% of the people on KMC think Supes can stomp him. If your versatility is meaningless against your opponent who can soak up whatever you throw at them. Example, HP Doomsday is a powerful brick... throw him in the Ultimate Universe and he would be consider the most powerful being on the planet. People more versatile that have high end strength and durability but Doomsday damage Soak and strength would most likely overcome anyone he face. This is what makes Superman and especially Hulk so unique. On one hand, both of these opponents have people that are far more powerful but due to Supermans high end durability stacked with his speed and strength, he would overcome most versatile characters abilities and pull out the win. Hulk has been fighting teams of Heralds since his creation and his rage, amping abilities, strength and healing factors overcomes most people on earth. Transmutation doesn't even work on him. Intangibility, etc...

Again, even though they are called the most powerful, it's not a factual statement because there are some out there on the planet that is more powerful.

When I said far more powerful, I was talking about across the universe, not just the planet. Across the universe, there are being that would poop both Superman and Hulk out at the same time.

Show me Helspont scanning everyone on Earth because Supergirl was scanned and it was said she is the most powerful being on the planet. The scanners in DC is garbage.

So we agree Hulk is one of the most powerful living beings with just Galaxy Master being the only other being to either equal or exceed him? (Hulk probably exceeds since GM said he fears Hulk)...

I’d imagine Thor would get a lot of mentions over the years, as would possibly characters like Dr. Strange.

1. That those two are the most powerful living entities. And Hulk is one of them.
2. That those are two of the most powerful living entities. And there are more than just those two. They are in the club of the most powerful living entities with an unknown number of members.

I don't take anyone else on this site words for anything since this site is mainly a DC fan made place. Maybe if it came from a mod but that's about it.
