Trump has a bag of prescripted lies (partially) memorized. That's all he does. He reaches into the bag of lies and pulls several out, and throws them at the wall like a baby throwing spaghetti. Doesn't matter which lies he selects, they're all interchangeable. Zero thought required, and only the most basic tasking of cognitive ability... Reciting words/lyrics/poetry/lies, etc
Meanwhile Biden had to play whack-a-mole with that barrage of lies, and wasn't quick enough swinging the mallet at every individual lie. It wasn't a debate.
I think trump will be crushed, actually.
however I think we'll see another attempted coup. I hope all military/police/secret service/etc surrounding federal lawmakers have been well vetted with all radicalized fascists fired/demoted/reassigned/whatever
Unfortunately my confidence in preparedness has wavered. The CNN debate was essentially Biden and all his advisers walking into an ambush imo. So thats actually my biggest concern: when Biden wins, will he be prepared for the predictable fascism games?
It was literally designed to favor trump.
It's not even an opinion, it's a fact. Adam or another fellow artist, feel free to explain why the entire set and color palette was specifically designed to draw your eye to trump and fade Biden into the background
Or just figure it out for yourself
I also suspect trump was warned to use extra dark orange makeup because they were going to turn Biden into a ghost with their lighting. This image is generous, when I saw it streaming, Biden was pale as a ghost
Also, competent sound engineering seemed suspiciously absent from his mic, as opposed to Trump's mic which was perfectly amplified
*Edit also I'm pretty sure we've never seen a corporate logo wallpape filling the backdrop of a presidential debate. It's almost like the coming plutocracy is flexing it's power
It also looks like CNN assured Biden that there would, at the least, be moderator pushback if trump denied the election or the events if J6.
he still walked into this ambush though
The Gish gallop is a rhetorical technique in which a person in a debate attempts to overwhelm their opponent by providing an excessive number of arguments with no regard for the accuracy or strength of those arguments. Gish galloping prioritizes the quantity of the galloper's arguments at the expense of their quality.
^ Bash I feel like you're being awfully kind to Biden.
Just compare their debate from 4 years ago and there really is no comparison. Age has clearly gotten to him.
I mean Trump was talking so much s***, I'm certain even I could have been up there (knowing very little about American politics) and completely own him.
Biden was having a bad night, he should have been able to call out a lot more of Trump's shotgun pellet lies than he did, but he was clearly struggling, more so the first half.
He's over 80, not uncommon for people that old have good days and bad days. I'm sticking with Biden despite that because he's not going to take people's rights away, abandon our allies to dictators and surround himself with an entire administration of dangerous Yes-Men like Trump will. But should Biden serve another four years? Not wise.
