He-Man and Masters of the Universe: Revelation (Netflix)

Well seen it, and gotta admit, it was pretty cool. Think we hastily pre-judged it with Part 1 which was essentially just the build up.

A few questions about plot points:

Spoiler:
Why is Adam the only one able to summon The Power without the sword? Does his Power and Skeletor's/Lynn's come from the same source, and are they weakened when sharing the Power? Or are both at full strength?

How on earth were the Men at Arms even able to restrain Primal He-Man? Shouldn't that be like trying to restrain a bulldozer with ropes?

Why is Skeletor and Evil Lynn able to amp off Eternia going to the center of the universe, yet He-Man isn't?

And if The Sorceress controls The Power, why did Lynn even need to trick Skeletor and get the Sword?

Finally, why is Teela able to say "No" to the rules of being bound to Castle Grayskull, while keeping the full benefits of the Power?

Yeah the

Spoiler:
power sharing
thing made no sense. At least I didnt get how that worked. Clearly no one individual ever truly has
Spoiler:
THE Power

YOU FEAR ME, LIMEY!!!

Thinking about it, Teela is the biggest mystery of them all.

Because unlike Evil Lynn,

Spoiler:
she never actually channeled The Power.

Why was her mother easily defeated by Skelegod, while Teela can stand up to an Evil Lynn who was far more powerful then Skeletor can ever dream of?

Didn't he claim Eternia's alignment with the universe would make him thousands of times stronger then even Savage He-Man?

^ Yeah the power levels made no sense. It was just whatever suited the story.

Maybe Smith was going for a Dragon Ball epiphany thing. 🙂

Although they at least try and offer explanations. Really weak explanations like "Saiyans have unlimited potential" or "Freeza trained for the first time in his life", or "Gohan is half blooded Saiyan and gets stronger with temper tantrums".

Or maybe he looked at Eternity War in the comics. Adam dies, gets resurrected, gets golden armor and an amp, all out of nowhere. The thing there though, is The Fires of Grayskull were established as having a consciousness, a will. The Sorceress was like the spokesperson, Skeletor even taunted The Power over ending everything and made Evil Lynn cry.

I'll give Kevin Smith the benefit of the doubt and assume he knew all that and just didn't have much time to really go super deep on lore, and figured most wouldn't care. 🙂

kevin smith is a damn bastard. he has fracked up he man and made this shit woke. he NEEDS to burn

LOL, Adam's haircut in the original series was ridiculous.

I can't even use it in my imagination.

All I see is a blond metal helmet with no strand movement.

A friend of mine said it was pants because it was all about Teela.

I think for some people once they are told its woke, they cant let it go.

TBH, Teela's story arc went to shit in the last 2 or 3 episodes for me, seemed like they really didn't know how to write the character well, other than that I thought it was really good. Not Thundercats 2011 good but good nonetheless.

They should continue this trend and reboot Dungeons & Dragons next, although I doubt they could resist turning Sheila or Diane into Super-Jesus.

Nah, F that, they'd ruin it forever, just reboot Bravestarr instead.

Hated 2011 Thundercats.

Had a lot of promise for the first few episodes, then broke down into a mess of poor reimaginings and way too much focus on Loin-O at the expense of everyone else.

Ironically the exact opposite of the problem nay sayers had with Masters of the Universe Revelations.

I will say Cheetara was hot.

Way more feminine then Teela, by a quarter mile.

Comic book Teela was actually pretty hot.

Preferred when she was blonde for the first six issues.

I think Keith Giffen was making a joke about how original minicomics changed her looks and no one commemted on it in story by having everyone bring up that she suddenly changed her hair color to red. That or management from Hasbro demanded he do it.

Finally finished it, was in no rush. I liked the second part better than the first, still just an okay show overall for me taking it all together. I'd watch a 3rd part if that's in the works.

Best part of this cartoon reboot is still hearing all the incels and overly sensitive males go nutty over a children's cartoon because some of the female characters did some stuff. Well played, Netflix. Well. Played.

shut up fukwit. You’re the last person to tell anyone anything on here you complete loser why you haven’t ended your shitty existence is a mystery. I’m not explaining shit to people who want to act as if they are a progressive hero due to the fear of pointing out the obvious.

because I can and fact it’s a the fake shit question. Everyone knows why the show has been pulled to bits and panned by the vast majority. It’s because of nonsense people like that trying to act all accepting to rubbish because of the fear a backlash of critiquing something but he acts like what’s the big deal. Do me a favour and don’t expect me to fall for that shit.

I'm happy you revealed this publicly so that any claims on your part that you ACTUALLY liked the series purely for its entertainment was false.

Angering "INCELS" is the highlight of any well-made television series.

I literally said it was an "okay show" and that I'd watch a 3rd part in the post you just read. I initially gave it a 6.5 out of 10, now it's a solid 7 after part two, slight improvement, but still just okay.

Learn to read, okay?
