Theodore Roosevelt was incredibly progressive for his time. Yeah he had some traits that a lot of people want to push as conservative but the man was all about fair pay/fair work. He wanted to conserve nature. And he wanted to expand individual power in the system. He also wanted to implement income tax and he also wanted to limit the power of generational wealth by having strong inheritance tax.
