Should people propagating false narratives like "stop the steal" be prosecuted?"

Survey: 12 Million Support Violence to Reinstate Trump

More than 18 months after the rioting at the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, an estimated 13 million U.S. adults, or 5% of the adult population, agree that force would be justified to restore Donald Trump to the White House, and an estimated 15 million Americans believe force would be justified to prevent Trump from being prosecuted, should he be indicted for mishandling classified documents, according to a new study from the University of Chicago.

"We have not just a political threat to our democracy, we have a violent threat to our democracy," Dr. Robert Pape, the director of the University of Chicago's Chicago Project on Security and Threats told "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan on September 18th. "Today, there are millions of individuals who don't just think the election was stolen in 2020; they support violence to restore Donald Trump to the White House."

Two-and-a-half years after the January 6th attack on the Capitol, an estimated 12-million American adults, or 4.4% of the adult population, believe violence is justified to restore Donald Trump to the White House. Though the number of adults who believe this has declined since the insurrection, recent survey data from the University of Chicago reveal alarming and dangerous levels of support for political violence and conspiracy theories across the United States.

The university's Chicago Project on Security & Threats research center has been conducting Dangers to Democracy surveys of American adults on political violence and attitudes towards democracy since shortly after the January 6th attacks. In new data from April, researchers found a continued support for violence to achieve various political goals, and a general distrust for democracy.

I'm sure England said the same thing about our revolution against their tyranny, we'd be under their yolk if you had your way. 👇

Thank God Obama built all those non-existent FEMA concentration camps back in the day.

I remember the Bowling Green massacre like it was yesterday.

jade helm and the bowling green massacre were very traumatic for cult45. just because it was fiction, doesn't mean they didn't get super shouty-caps triggered over them. fee-fees matter

People were so scared they hid in their brother's basement, their brother's bunker, and their sister's spare bedroom, etc. to wait it out.

Poll: 30% of Republicans Want Trump to Break the Law

It has been evident for a long time that Republicans—and especially supporters of Donald Trump—take a more no-holds-barred approach to politics than Democrats do. They are much more likely to say political violence can be justified, for instance.

It has also become clear that Trump being convicted of a felony is not a red line for the vast majority of them. But for apparently the first time, we can affix a number to how many of them think that Trump breaking the law for political ends is okay: 3 in 10.

That is the finding of a new Fox News poll this weekend. While 65 percent of Trump supporters said a president should always follow the rules and the law, 30 percent said breaking rules and laws is justified.

I'm going to call bullshit on the Fox News polls.

Reality: 30% of Republicans are willing to openly admit they want Trump to break the law and winning by any means is fine for Trump. But well over 90% want that, most are just too scared to openly admit it.

my mom told my wife that there is "concrete, scientific evidence" that Biden stole the 2020 election. when pressed about "where is the evidence"? she said both "it's online" and "(my husband) told me. he isn't sure where he read it, but it sounds right."

there can be no victory against these kinds of people. wait for them to die off is kinda all we got.

I doubt Trump would seriously have a chance to win another election, but I really hope they just put him behind bars to make it a certainty. If he is elected president again, how many gay people will literally be killed as a result of him being in office, just like last time? The great gay purge is something I hope to never have to witness again.

Poll: 25% of Respondents Believe FBI Instigated Riot

Twenty-five percent of respondents say it is "probably" or "definitely" true that the FBI instigated the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, a false concept promoted by right-wing media, according to a new poll.

The poll finds a smaller 11-percent of the public thinks there is "solid evidence" that FBI operatives organized and encouraged the attack, while 13-percent say this is their "suspicion only."

"The people that went there to express their views, to support Trump, were peaceful," said Richard Baum, 61, from Odessa, Texas. "The government implants were the violent ones—the FBI, the police people that were put in there, the AntiFa and BLM hired by George Soros—everybody knows that."

Unsurprisingly, that figure aligns with the percentage of conservative voters in the U.S.

They're the party of zero accountability, have been for a very long time.

They also know Trump lost, they just claim otherwise as a means to excuse their poor behavior.

81% of Republican Votes Agree with Hitler Comments

Last month, Trump took his anti-immigrant vitriol to a new level in a campaign speech where he said immigrants from Africa and Asia are "poisoning the blood of our country" and inundating America with crime and mental illness. The remarks were fiercely condemned by Trump's critics, many of whom noted the parallels between his words and those of Adolf Hitler.

Yet despite the widespread denunciation, a poll found that 97 percent of Trump voters agreed with his "poisoning the blood" comments, as did 65 percent of Republicans. Combined, the poll determined that 81 percent of all Republican primary voters agree with Trump on this.

97% of Trump voters are deplorables?

I don't think that's a shock to anyone.

That is shocking. I want to know more about that non-deplorable 3% which I’m pretty sure doesn’t exist

It's the people who say "I don't care for what he says, but I still support him". They're cowards.

History will remember Trumpers as the insurrection party, the party that literally tried to steal an election, failed and then blamed the other side.
