-Trump seized years of email and phone records of a New York Times reporter, as a means to intimidate and silence

-Trump wanted to jail people or strip them of their citizenship if they burned the flag

The list goes on, Trump was not a defender of the 1st Amendment, unless it somehow benefited himself or one of his friends.
