What the hell does any of that mean? Because atrocities have existed throughout history, that means none of this matters?

I know the many tribes warred with each other, took slaves of their prisoners, and inflicted cruelties on each other. Yet they were still here in substantial numbers when Columbus landed 500 years ago. What are there numbers now? Who's responsible for that?

Despite that, I know the reality is no Europeans are getting back on the boats and leaving North America. We all have to live together here. But going forward means fully acknowledging the past.
