I'm not sure it's even worth restoring the site.
It's not SSL-protected, Raz isn't the owner anymore, and hasn't posted in five years. The moderators are fairly active, but without any administrators there won't be any restructuring, and the site is in the ownership of someone who lives Iceland that we know nothing of.

Personally, I don't have a problem with people making sock accounts as long as they can stay civil and act like adults. It's the petty spam-trolling that makes me cringe. /shrug

I was originally going to use Drupal, but I haven't really had time to get started yet, and I know Xenforo (a forum software) pretty much comes with a forum and has a very intuitive graphic interface, and technically allows for javascript implementation, meaning I can run both the comic and the forum using the same software.
omnipotent.com would redirect to the comic, and forums.omnipotent.com would redirect to a forum. I'd need at least one active co-admin to structure the forum (sections, color themes, user permissions, etc.) and a couple of moderators
It wouldn't be too bad if for no other reason than brining in traffic. I'll think about it.
