You vote for your MP, then vote for the party (because ministers have way more importance than people think) and then vote PM.

I'm alright with an OK Prime Minister if I believe the part follows what I think is best...

We have a parliamentary system in the uk too. The leader becomes PM. That’s how it is.

Second election in a row the Cons get more votes than the Libs and the Libs still won.

I think Canada would do well with a more conservative government, probably NDP, but they seem so liberal focused.

NDP is exact opposite of conservative government.

And I disagree that Canadian would do well with a conservative considering the country is left-leaning.

Well..I'm not sure if you are Canadian or not...but I'm guessing not considering you mention NDP being conservative.

PPC is far right and nutso.
Conservative is right-leaning.
Liberal is generally centre with left/right lean based on current party.
NDP is far left.
Green is Green.
Bloc is only for Quebec.

Wouldn't rank choice most likely mean a Liberal government. Most people would put there preference...and then something centre as a second choice.
