It really was heart warming how peaceful they were as they chanted to have the vice president hung and as they beat police officers to death. Such peace and tranquility as they barged into the building with all the elected officials present fearing for their lives.

I don't follow Twitter, but I actually agree generally that there is still a lot of denial about the dangers of the ideology. Or ANY religious ideology. It's not just Islam. Scientology is a religion, so it gets a pass even though it is psychotic, delusional, and destructive. Christianity is more politically correct to criticize, because it's "ours," you know? It's okay to criticize your own thing, but another culture is wrong because that's racist or something! I don't agree, though, because bad ideas should be criticized regardless of where they come from.

But Christianity still gets tons of unwarranted privilege here even though it's full of truly convoluted stupidity. Evangelicals are the American Taliban.
