it's more complex than that, the players have to do things like let the ref know before a play they intend to receive from some positions. The plays are like athletic chess moves imho.
Right, because when I play chess I tell the opponent where I'm going to move my knight.

Yes, it's chess at the start...and then individual technique, aggressiveness and intangibles during the play.

But it's strategy and tactics on multiple levels. It's the coach trying to figure out what the other team is going to do and then calling a play to try to beat it (on both sides of the ball)....then during the 30ish countdown...its the QB who is trying to figure out what the defense is doing and seeing if the called play is legit or not....then when the play happens...all that can be thrown out the window by one defender destroying a offensive player blocking...and even though it was the right call, individual skill wins out.

And from the defensive side...you need to figure out what the what the offensive is doing...and then try to counter it...but you sometimes you need to feint the defensive scheme or the QB will audible to something different. Basically each player has to determine what they need to do....

Even the most skilled players can be beat by a smarter player.

I like all sports and can appreciate each sporst uniqueness.

Pretty good analysis. I do think it would be better with two halves, but that's me.

I'm not sure where they go that from.....I used to love football but I got annoyed by the broadcasting and how they throw away players.

All sports can be boring, all sports can be exciting.

For instance...hockey is generally the most existing sport out there...there not a lot of times that nothing happens...but there can be times when two teams are matched perfectly and they just bring the puck into the offensive zone and the other team grabs it...rinse and repeat.

American football can be boring...but when the stakes are high, each snap is so important, it's this rush of super intense excitement.

A sport like baseball can very, very boring....but like football, the stakes are high, each pitch can be like life or death.

Basically, some sports are like phycological horrors..slow burns but terrifying...others are like jump scares....heartbeat races up but goes down once its all OK.

If you struggle with baseball for length, you wouldn't like a Cricket Test Match... 😂 But you are right, most sports have something redeeming about them.

I think football is the most exciting when the players are fighting for the ball. Like the 2010 World cup final between Spain and the Netherlands. It was mental.

Good match for me, I think England Argentina 1990 where we lost at the time was the most exciting. I enjoy boxing for spectacle best.

Football is the most exciting when you have two offensive minded teams, counter attacking like crazy. And shots...lots of shots.

That's why I like Premier League football...it helps its two hours in mid morning. I can watch a match and still have most of the day to do things.

I disagree. I mention the 2010 WC final because they were absolutely battering each other. I'm a defensive minded player, so I loved throwing my body onto the opposition -- I mean the ball. I always got the ball first 😗

But I'm with you with the counter attacks. The last 10 minutes of Italy vs Germany in 2006 was just as hilarious as Germany vs. Brazil in 2014.

Understandable....Maybe I thinking about the pass back and forth...side to side....the Manchester United way of doing things. haha.

It only works if you have solid defenders, an arsenal of forwards to choose from and Paul Scholes.

The truckers are holding there ground. Good for them

Klaus Schwabs little ***** Trudeu is running scared

Question for everybody?

Are you considered a ****ing idiot if when repeatedly told by a citizen of Canada that vaccine mandates are not the responsibility of the federal government, which the Prime Minister is elected for and they still act like the Prime Minister can do anything?

If he can't do anything he better speak to the people who can.

No one is gonna put up with this tyranny any longer. To the little slaves lying down and taking it up the behind, well they are fighting for your freedoms too.

Isn't there some sort of feudalism between the federal government and local authorities?

The person who can change the laws is a democratically elected Premier of each province. Provincial governments determine various amounts of things...the key one being healthcare.

Federal government has no way to override things in provincial matters. So if there is vaccine mandate in the province, the Ontario government are the ones responsible for enacting it. (or other provinces)

So saying **** Trudeau is dumb...because he has nothing to do with this.

What Deano is saying "No one is gonna put up with this tyranny any longer. To the little slaves lying down and taking it up the behind, well they are fighting for your freedoms too"....in reference to the prime minster of Canada.

He is literally saying the opposite according to how Canada three levels of government works. He is suggesting the prime minister use his federal powers to illegally to overthrow a provincial premier position.....which is exact definition of tyranny.

Drives me nuts when people spout boilerplate bullshit when they have no idea how a foreign country is run. (and its not like I'm an expert either).....

Sounds like when Andrew Jackson tried to overhaul the '24 election.

Then again, that was significantly different.

I'm not I understand what you mean. My understanding of how America elections is top level at best.

Jackson didn't like the congress deciding the president, so he rallied up lots of support and tried again.

Jackson was also ridiculed as "King Andrew" because he took powers away from congress and to the presidency.
