It's no your fault, you're so used to Don Lemon's bizarre leftist way of speaking you assume perfectly normal people like Musk are the weird ones. 🤔
Honestly I had barely heard of Don Lemon before the last few days. I don't have cable so I don't ever watch CNN. And he's normal, asking normal journalist questions. Elon is not normal because he was triggered by normal journalist questions because they questioned his idiotic ideas. Like the idea that it would be the advertisers who would tank the platform and not him because he's in charge of the company.

I didn't watch the full interview, only saw a clip or two. I probably should watch the full thing. But basically as soon as the interview was over, Musk called off the deal they made for Lemon to be on X and tip the political scale there slightly more center. Musk be like, "hmm.. nah, on second thought let's not have actual journalism on X."
Musk only likes it when the interviewer kisses his ass and doesn't ask him to explain his controversies, like why he co-signed a known Neo-Nazi's antisemitic conspiracy rants, Musk likes to be asked questions like "isn't it true you're the most amazing businessman?"
I watched the rest of the interview. It's pretty much a shit show.
Elon thinks, in regard to DEI, that surgeons (his example) are graduating and practicing people who don't know what they're doing (I guess so "the blacks" can operate in the field? Not racist at all) and people are getting hurt. Yet he has no concrete evidence of anything like this happening. But just wait for all his minions to come to his aid and provide all that evidence!
Elon is boring AF to listen to. He's not that smart and he's boring AF.
Don Lemon isn't particularly great either, and isn't even that great at challenging Elon, but Elon still felt attacked. 🙄
Another thing he does in the interview is hide behind "freedom of speech" when he doesn't want to moderate the racist hate speech on his platform. I guess he thinks it's okay to allow it as long as he doesn't "promote" it, so it's seen by more people? But isn't HE himself the one reposting and sharing certain questionable ideas?
And i know he bans journalists and lied about the Twitter files supposedly showing Conservatives being censored on the platform..
He's a free speech absolutist as long as no one questions or disagrees with him? Perfect.

Exactly, Musk's belief in "freedom of speech" is depending on if he agrees with what is being said.
eg He's banned journalist from Twitter/X over commenting on Musk and reporting the rise of White Supremist talking points on Twitter/X since Musk bought the company. Which again is fine if he does, it's his company, just be open about the practice.
Yeah, I just fear it's radicalizing more Right wing loons before this year's election. I'm not sure how much influence it actually has. I haven't really used Twitter/X much. (I've had an account since like 2009 or so, but have seldom used it.)
But I suspect we'll be fine as long as not too many Liberals boycott voting for Biden due to his support for Israel. Tons of Conservatives died with Covid, so should be pretty solid. Then the other concern is what will sore-loser Trumpy-Poo inspire his cult to do when he loses.

Weird, I recall reading stories of people on their deathbed asking for the Fauci-Ouchie. Too little too late, it doesn't work that way...

Pro-Nazi Content Rages Unchecked on X
On Monday, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit by Elon Musk's X that had targeted a watchdog group for its critical reports about hate speech on the social media platform. In a blistering 52-page order, the judge blasted X's case as plainly punitive rather than about protecting the platform's security and legal rights."Sometimes it is unclear what is driving a litigation," wrote District Judge Charles Breyer, of the US District Court for the Northern District of California, in the order's opening lines. "Other times, a complaint is so unabashedly and vociferously about one thing that there can be no mistaking that purpose."
Because of its potential to destroy the watchdog group, the case has been widely viewed as a bellwether for research and accountability on X as Musk has welcomed back prominent white supremacists and others to the platform.
Researchers have found that at least 150 paid "Premium" subscriber X accounts and thousands of unpaid accounts have posted or amplified pro-Nazi content on X in recent months, often in violation of X's own rules. The paid accounts posting the content all consistently posted antisemitic or pro-Nazi material. Examples included praise of Nazi soldiers, sharing of Nazi symbols, and denials of the Holocaust.
The pro-Nazi content is not confined to the fringes of the platform. During one seven-day period in March, seven of the most widely shared pro-Nazi posts on X accrued 4.5 million views in total. One post with 1.9 million views promoted a false and long-debunked conspiracy theory that 6 million Jews did not die in the Holocaust. More than 5,300 verified and unverified accounts reshared that post, and other popular posts were reshared hundreds of times apiece.
X Sees Tenfold Increase in Pro-Trump Fake Accounts
Fake accounts posting about the U.S. presidential election are proliferating on the social media platform X, according to a social media analysis company's report.
Analysts from tech company Cyabra, which uses a subset of artificial intelligence called machine learning to identify fake accounts, found that 15% of X accounts praising Donald Trump and criticizing President Joe Biden are fake.
The review included analyzing popular hashtags and determining sentiment in terms of whether posts are positive, negative, or neutral. The analysis shows that newly detected fake accounts had increased up to tenfold during March and April.
