White Dudes for Harris, a pop-up group backing VP Kamala Harris’ bid to defeat Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election that features some notable Hollywood white guys, said Elon Musk’s X had suspended its account - right after it hosted a YouTube livestream that raised more than $4 million for the Harris campaign.
Mike Nellis, founder/CEO of digital advertising firm Authentic, who is one of the organizers of White Dudes for Harris, wrote in a post Monday evening that X notified the group its account was suspended for "Violating our rules against evading suspension." -snip
Could this be that election interference the right always gripes about?
Just read that Jeff Bridges was one of the speakers during the massive Zoom call and [url=https://apnews.com/article/harris-supporters-by-ethnic-background-white-dudes-b474af62f6b225c71cde16be7e9eb077]he was in his TBL 'The Dude'[/ul] persona 🙂

Don Lemon sued Elon Musk on Thursday, saying that the billionaire entrepreneur refused to pay him after a partnership with the X social media platform got shelved. The lawsuit was filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco, a legal filing showed.
X canceled its partnership with Lemon in March after he said Musk would be his first guest in an interview.
Elon Musk’s X Sues Advertisers Over Alleged Boycott
X today filed a lawsuit against a group of major advertisers for allegedly conspiring to withhold advertising dollars from the social media platform, which, since Elon Musk’s takeover, has been seen as more amenable to hosting controversial content.
The suit, filed in federal court in Texas, says dozens of advertisers followed the recommendation of a key advertising coalition, Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), to boycott buying ads on X since Musk bought the company. The suit says this turn of events cost the company billions of dollars in revenue. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for violation of US antitrust law. -snip
In short, a bunch of companies pulled their ads because they didn't want their ads to be posted next to pro-Nazi, antisemitism and generally bigoted shittery, so Musk is mad.
I guess the 'speak with your wallet' mentality magically doesn't apply here.
