abortion, like suicide, is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

the whole thing with the death penalty is that its a much easier death. If you do something so horrible, that you get the death penalty, then you are much better off... because if they give you life and put you in the prison general population, the inmates will kill you anyways. Even if they put you in solitary, more often than not it doesnt make a difference.

remember that priest in Massachusetts that was sentanced to i dont know how many years in a max security prison for raping and molesting young altar boys? the prison is actually right down the street from me. well they put him in solitary, because they know general population would be fatal. One prisoner got through to solitary and either strangled or stabbed the former priest.

We live in a corrupt world, and sometimes even the guards will look the other way, because everyone has a family. Even the prisoners wouldnt want certain crimes comitted, like rape, child abduction, etc, because they know more than anyone that it could happen to their own family.

So giving the death penalty would be a quicker, less painful punishment.

Anyways after that long rambling, i am pro choice.

no...if she is RAPED then she can have the ABORTION...if not..then she knew what would happen...

does it matter.?..... it's not like we can do anything about it any way...... it's up to the politicians and the president......you can protest all you want the president and politicians are going to do what they want to do any way...so shut the hell up with it should be illegal it should be legal crap....plain truth is it's not up to us....so why worry about it....

That's where you're wrong. How do you think things get done in this country? By people protesting and speaking up about stuff. There's a quote I read once that I like very much, I can't remember it exactly but it went something like "never doubt that a small group of vocal people can change the world....because that's the only way anything really gets changed." Why SHOULDN'T we worry about things that effect us? So basically you think we should sit back and allow people to dictate how our lives should be run? i was talking about the death penalty, only because people who are pro-choice are often pro-death penalty.

I didn't mean that we shouldn't vote and speak out..... it's just that we don't have a say in this matter....Bush believe's whatever he wants whatever he thinks is morally right.and no i woulnd't be happier in a communist country smart ass.....(curl up and dye.....).....

Yes, we do have a say... like Lana said, Bush can't expect to have abortion made illegal and not get any reaction from pro choice people.

True imaginary but I think that Bush can (and will) do a lot and not care about the protest marches and everything by the people. I never had the feeling the opposition in the US congres is extremely fierce, and it always helps to have atleast a few important and powerful politicians on your side.
