Well it is still your child to some extend she should give it weight...but you casn't really do anything since it is her body
In my case i'm the one that didn't want to get an abortion, but everyone else did.... it seemed like the logical choice... I mean i was too young, immature, dumb, i couldn't support the child, i wasn't ready for it...but.... i regret having it because what it does to you... i think i can speak for most women when i say that having an abortion really screws you up... and if abortion was illegal unless being raped or medical conditions, then i would be 7 months now.... and i wouldn't have to be put through the pressure of everyone telling to have an abortion... that's why i think it should be illegal...so unless you've had an abortion i seriously doubt you know the extent of what pain you feel, morally, mentally, emotionally, and physically.... Abortion in most every way is wrong.....
so your telling me, that even if you've been vicously raped, u wld like a reminder of it every day?
Childbirth is supposed to be a wonderful thing, its supposed to bring happiness and joy into the parents life, not remind them of the horror that the mother went through.
Also, what if your child was so severly disabled, and i mean mentally, physically, to a point that the child will be brain dead from birth?

I do not think it should be used easily hwoever, it should not be thought of as a method of birth control.
But still, I think it should be there for any woman who wishes to abort her pregnancy.
i was 15 at the time... i'm 16 now..... but yea i know i had a choice...and making it illegal would just leave just one choice which would force them to have the child which they could give up for adoption which i wise i should have done... and why not both because of the situation i was in... I'm sure i'm not the only one that didn't want to have an abortion but was pressure by not only my parents but my boyfriends parents and my boyfriend... plus my friends and other family members..... leaving only one option would force to have the child....It's just my opinion....

I see ...but what you are proposing is exactly what your parents your boyfriends parents and your boyfriend did...it leaves a woman who doesn't want a kid pressured to have it...and have to deal with it for the rest off her life...
Why do a lot of people always, atleast a lot of the time, look at things from the following perspective: "I disagree with something which causes me no harm whatsoever" "so there for it must be made illegal"
That way of thinking gets things seriously F***ed Up
When you want to make something manditory -in this case it would be manidtory to have a child (since it would be a ban against abortion), you have to look at the negative effects of that decision too.
AC, the fact that you were pressured into having an abortion by people around you doesn't mean it should be made illegal. I'm sure it was a terrible thing you went through, but other people don't feel the same about abortion and may have chosen to have one themselves in your position. Being forced into having an abortion and being forced to not have an abortion are much the same that way... Hence why it should be legal.

It should be the woman's choice. Simple as. By banning abortion you are forcing the beliefs of a minority on everyone, but by making it legal and allowing it to be the women's choice you are allowing everyone to follow their own beliefs.

Like has been stated, people CAN still get pregnant from having sex while using contraceptives. Nothing is 100% perfect. If a girl gets pregnant -- for whatever reason -- she should be allowed to get an abortion if she chooses.
