Ok, I need to go back and study geography...
😛I thought that by a US supreme Court ruling abortion is legal over there...
Right, but now states are doing the exact opposite because Republicans sort of control the Supreme Court and may overturn the ruling.

Okay, so the legality or not of abortion is a state-matter???
But is there any NON-religious basis for making abortion illegal? If not, where is the separation of state and church??
I mean, is the US a secular federation??
"No, no. AA isn't religious. We just believe that you have to admit how powerless you are over your addiction and therefore give credit, thanks and responsibility to God in order to over come the disease you have...but we're not religious. You just can't overcome it alone, at all."
From South Park.
Can be applied to abortion.

No. None at all. What other objection has ever been implied? When too many imply a non-needed seperation, then one no longer exists. Render unto Caesar what is Caesars, and unto God what is Gods...
Hmm… Ok. I always though it odd that the president of the US would say stuff like “God bless America.” If the Danish Prime Minister did that, he’d be out of office in no time. The only one saying stuff like that is the queen during her New Year speech…
But… does there? Does there exist a non-religious argument against abortion? Anyone?

Bush was for the idea of Intelligent Design in U.S. schools. I fear for the future of this country. In fact, I'm saving up to get the hell out.

There are. If one assumes a fetus to have same rights as humans killing should also be wrong.
Also, there are people who believe in absolute morals without believing in God....so...yeah...there are.

I think her point is, there aren't any feasible arguments against abortion that are non-religious. (Though religious arguments are less than feasible too). For one, no one can prove that a fetus has the same rights as a full grown human being and somehow has the moral one-up over the mother who bears it. Second, people who believe in absolute morals bear the burden of proving them. So far, I haven't seen any good arguments for moral absolutism that doesn't trickle into the forbidden territory of religion.

Oh yeah....I agree...I am just saying there are non-religious arguments...that only weirdos cling to them doesn't matter in that case....
