My skin cells are human. If you took your own skin cells, and a dogs skin cells, scientists could tell which is human and which belongs to dog. Cells from humans ARE human cells. A fetus IS human, it is not BEING. A human is different from a human BEING, you dumbass. just for perspective ALL human cells except maybe nerve cells are CONTINUALLY DYING and being replaced by others. if u give stem cells the same rights as a human wy not give human cells the same right and call any living being an unbearably immoral engine of destruction and wipe all human life from earth so many more CELLS {without a conciounce and BEING} wont die?

Stem cells should be used for what there potential has, they can be made to do nearly anything in theroy such as using them to cure the blood production if you have sickle cell and introducing these stem cells is a possible cure, if its possible to cure something by taking a certain cell and editing it even if you people say oh its playing god it should be done as the benefits are more than the negatives.

Leon as for giving the stem cells rights and giving the rest, in most cases the other cells in the body are not really much use compared to stem cells, stem cells ar non persicifc until they've been set to what they do, stem cells can be used to do anything. Therefore are a useful cell.
Most cels in the body are useless unless they hold some key to solving a illness or producing something so it can be inserted into someone else to cure them, or cure them temporay.

woody82 what i was TRYING to say was that reguardless of their PURPOSE if u go around giving all human cells RIGHTS of self preservation than ALL humans will find themselves in an impssible situation. the only rights belong to DEVELOPED brain cells and their sustainers . in such im not TOTALLY for abortion either, stem cell is a stage where cells dont have any conciounce or right, however after the fetus takes shape likein 3-5 months it develops distinctive personality and unique traits which is why after around three months a fetus should NOT be aborted and for good reason but stem cells which occur a long time before that dont have a conciounce so its logical that they might be used in research.

besides the umblical cord of ababy after birth also contains stem cells no1 seems to realize that.

During sex the chances of creating life are there, and there for a reason cause it is what is supposed to happen within our life spans, hence why we get sexual urges. Basically there is no plesure in life without pain. Cant say i believe in termination of life. Falling birth rates arent a good sign either for any of us.

from what we know, MOST of the time sexual urges have little to do with procreating a child. take masturbation for instance, most sex is just for pleasure.
