I was raped when I was 17, and I was a virgin when it happened. If I were pregnant as a result of the rape, i would have had a clinical abortion or would have done it myself. Sorry it sounds bad, but I can't be a hypocrite. When I was involved in church, I would sit there and hear the preacher talk about abortion and just think, "wow", it's easy to talk, and not everyone is the same, some can come to terms with something like that, and others will never. I forgave the guy, but the act is still an offensive, and if I were pregnant, that issue would be as good as done. Sorry to sound so harsh, as your world doesn't require that kind of thinking AND IT SHOULD NEVER, so, I love to hear your innocence, but life isn't that simple.

you are a dear heart. yes, it would be the ideal thing to do, but caring the seed of a man who planted something that was expressly against your will, 9 mos is a long time to think about it, could be baking a lot of hate in the oven too. it's good to turn a negative situation into a positive outcome, in principle, this is the best way to approach things. practically, one may want to disregard any reminder, esp. of physical violence, and rape is physical violence. plus, a warped "minded" person may take the "negative into positive" solution as encouragement, someone like that may think "why stop raping, she'll get over it and keep the baby? and besides, look what my deeds brought forth?"
see, keep your innocence, don't talk about your principles too much (don't caste pearls), some people may ill wish on you b/c they may be jealous of your purity. i once had that myself (purity & innocence, not knowing evil), so i can certainly relate to your views and it's a nice thing to preserve (innocence).
think of "curse" as negative or ill wishing, if you replace the word curse with ill wishing, you get some idea, and in psalms and proverbs talks about a lot.

And thank God you didn't adopt a child, then again when I realize that people like you can procreate I get strengthened in my faith in the lack of God.
