A Palm Bay pastor who had ongoing sexual relations with at least two teen members of his congregation—including in the church bathroom, office, and passenger van—has been sentenced to live out the remainder of his life in state prison.

Roberson Douge, 44, who ministered at the Apostolic Church of Christ in northeast Palm Bay, had been set to face up to 270 years in a Florida state prison.

The life sentence came at a hearing last week, with the judge giving Douge credit for 113 days served in the Brevard County Jail Complex.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested after police say he gave naked massages to multiple young boys. Virgil Larson is charged with five counts of felony child sexual abuse.

Court documents say on July 3rd, a Bannock County Sheriff's deputy was told of a possible sexual abuse case after "several boys had been touched inappropriately by a neighbor and church leader who was giving them massages."

Court documents state Larson was the first counselor in the leadership of his local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ward. A warrant was issued for Larson's arrest on Tuesday, and he was booked into the Bannock County Jail on the same day with a bond of $100,000.

The minor, who was a junior in high school at the time, arrived in her mother's car for a July 15, 2017 party at the Florida home of Chris Dorworth, a lobbyist and friend of Gaetz's, according to a court filing written by defense attorneys who interviewed witnesses as part of an ongoing civil lawsuit Dorworth brought in 2023.

One eye witness cited in the court filings, a young woman referred to as K.M., provided a sworn affidavit that the teenage girl was naked, partygoers were there to "engage in sexual activities," and "alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana" were present. The teenage girl was identified in the filings only as A.B.

From the pulpit to a prison cell, 37-year-old Demiro Rick Johnson will be 71 years old when he is released from prison and required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his natural life, according to court documents.

On Friday, a judge sentenced Johnson, a now–convicted child sex predator for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl, whom he referred to as his "spiritual daughter" and who had attended his church.

According to court documents, Johnson has been behind bars since last January, and he has written many letters to the clerk of courts since then asking for a bond motion to reduce his sentence.

The most recent letter, according to the report, was sent September 3rd. In it, Johnson wrote the judge asking for the court to consider reducing his bond and un-secure the reduced amount so he would be able to go to his residence in High Point.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is looking for possible additional victims after one of its former deputies who was also a youth group pastor in Riverview was arrested on child molestation charges.

Deputies say they went to a Hillsborough County home on February 24, 2023 to investigate a report of an adult man molesting a 12-year-old child.

On March 7th 2023, detectives using a search warrant found multiple electronic storage devices with items of evidentiary value. More than a year later, on September 11th 2024, charges were filed with the State Attorney's Office, and Pablo Rios Hernandez, 41, was arrested.

The youth director of a Denton church has been arrested after a parent and their child accused him of inappropriate behavior with teenagers, police say. According to police, the suspect, 63-year-old Craig Stone, was charged with indecency with a child and possession of child pornography; both felonies.

Stone is listed as the youth director and president of Nazarene Youth International at Willowwood Church of the Nazarene in Denton, according to the church's website.

After executing a search warrant on Tuesday at the church and Stone's residence, Stone agreed to talk with detectives and reportedly admitted to touching the victim, as well as to possessing images of another victim naked, police said.

A Tulsa pastor was arrested and charged with rape, child sex abuse, and incest. According to an affidavit, Bertheophilus Maurice "Judge" Bailey, Sr. began sexually assaulting his victim when she was a child. It went on to say the abuse got worse as she got older.

Bailey is a reverend at St. Andrew Christian Church near 36th Street North and M.L.K. in north Tulsa. According to an affidavit, the abuse took place at home and started when the victim was in sixth grade.

Court records say, "It began with the defendant praying over her body and touching her." Investigators said Bailey confessed to watching pornography involving incest and said, "he felt justified in acting out what was shown in the pornography because 'it was what people do.'"

An Ellis County youth pastor with a history of child sex assault offenses was sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexually abusing underage victims who attended his church.

Marvin Scales, 53, of Waxahachie pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of sexual abuse of a young child, one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and one count of sexual assault of a child, according to Ellis County's District Attorney.

In August 2023, Scales was also accused of impregnating a 14-year-old girl. That’s when the DA said their investigation into Scales began. Scales would regularly take the congregation's children on overnight trips, and he would have the children sleep over at this house, according to the DA.

Victims told investigators Scales would have sex with them on the trips and overnight stays. He even recorded several of the assaults himself and kept them at home.

A Quarryville Bible study instructor was arrested on Wednesday after a woman came forward to report that he had sexually assaulted her repeatedly as a minor, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Officers from Troop J—Lancaster say the victim came to the station on September 23rd to report the assaults, which had occurred when she was 7–8 years old. The victim alleged that Michael Hess, 49, of Quarryville would make her sit on his lap and then put his hand down her pants during Bible study for an entire school year.

He was charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, and indecent assault without consent of other.

Troopers interviewed Hess on Wednesday, in which he admitted to intentionally seating the victim close to him in church where she was out of the view from others so that he could put his hand down the child's pants, police reported in charging documents.

He said that the entire bible study class and all church leaders would also be sitting in the church pew. Police said he could not remember how many times it happened, but noted Hess did say it was "highly possible" the victim was correct in saying the abuse happened 30–36 times.

Abilene preschool employee Mark Eichorn pleaded guilty to Production of Child Pornography in Federal court Tuesday morning. He will be sentenced for the crime after a pre-sentencing investigation.

Court documents state Eichorn was acting as a "sugar daddy" for children in another state, paying them to send the lewd images. He will have a federal detention hearing later this week. Eichorn was employed as Preschool Teacher Assistant at St. John's Episcopal School prior to his arrest.

The investigation into Eichorn started when a Georgia parent noticed her 13-year-old son had more money in his bank account than he should have. Evidently, the boy was sending inappropriate pictures and videos of himself to Eichorn in exchange for money.

A jury found an Inola pastor guilty of rape and two counts of lewd or indecent acts involving young girls Thursday morning. Four years ago, Inola pastor Roy Shoop was arrested.

"I felt I was looking the devil right in the eye," said Sheriff Scott Walton from the Rogers County Sheriff's Office as he explained the moment he handcuffed Roy Shoop.

The Rogers County District Attorney's Office said during the trial multiple victims testified about suffering abuse from Roy Shoop. His victims were as young as 5 years old. Shoop's trial started on October 1st and he chose to take the stand in his own defense.
