Sure. But let's be real, Surfer is tanking those punches far more favorably than Thor.

Before, during and after being punched, Surfer spends more time philosophizing and analyzing wavelengths than shaking off stars.

If you're referring to the Planet Hulk fight against the Warbound, that's not exactly fair as the Sakaaran wormhole weakened every character that traveled through it to some undefined degree. And IIRC, Hulk had a chance to recover more from its debilitating effects than Surfer had a chance to. Either way, I kept it in there for the sake of completion.

Also, Surfer's fight w/ Hulk in Silver Surfer #125 is from 1997 and canon.

If you want to criticize the feats due to age, ok. So long as you don't hypocritically turn around and rely on 40 year old feats to prove your position. Me? I'm ok with relying on Batman Year One, Daredevil Born Again, etc. so long as they've not been rendered irrelevant by hard retcons or subsequent feats.

Not really, as Surfer's become a legend of that gladiatoral arena and we were shown how much he's relished in such life.

I re-read the issues and I respectfully disagree with you here. After he was captured, Surfer did relish the pit-fights but he wasn't displayed in gladiator arenas. Indeed, Caiera had never even seen him before.

So I think it's more likely that Surfer came in after Hulk. But, y'know... I'm about 6 beers in and can't be bothered to argue the point.
