Yeah. But I like the occasional chick flick now, if it's a good one. Shonen fare like Ranma and Inuyasha always had Shoujo material anyways.

What's the one about a girl who can't express herself? I like that one.

The Quintessential Quintuplets is a pretty neat one, a tutor has to deal with identical twin sisters all representing different archtypes. Pretty clever way for the writer to stretch his legs and play dress up with the same body type.

are modern day japanese anime better than 90s american cartoons?

They are probably on par with Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder cartoons.

the only anime i watch is yugioh because i collect cards

You can't generally compare them like that because you have more genres to choose from, and some of them are likely going to be more to your taste than the Saturday morning cartoons you remember. But it depends on what you're into.

I personally prefer the martial arts genre, which means I've drifted more into Chinese donghua, and I'm currently watching Apotheosis (Bai Lian Cheng Shen). But every few seasons or so I'll end up watching an anime.

You know what was bad? Star Wars Rogue Leader.

Difficult for all the wrong reasons.

So I'm designing another logo and I need help with the choice of S, the difference is the edges. The first one has straight 0-degree edges, the second one has 15-degree edges from the center-point of the hole, and the last one has 30-degree edges but from the edge of the hole.

I'm thinking the 15-degree one (placed in the center) looks the best.

laughcry laughcry laughcry

The S seems a bit small, give me a minute and I'll create some widen variants.

Not sure if they turned out much better.

What am I typing there and is that my comment in the box? Because wondering how anyone could get a screen shot of something I didn't post yet.

Are you schizophrenic? You're not typing anything, that's my comment.

I can't really read it, but based on Stilts reaction I assumed it's my post.

Somehow caught before I actually posted anything. It wouldn't surprise me if this were possible and everybody else knew it but me.

If you have spyware then sure, then it may be possible that someone is recording your screen. The developers of your browser may have access to it as well.

But the forum is running on the 2006 version of vBulletin, so it's far too rudimentary to do back-up saves or keep track of user-replies that haven't been posted.

Back in 2006 or so I kept trying to refresh a certain wrestling website. Wouldn't load, and at one point I swear the font for one of the links read "GIVE IT UP ALREADY!"

I know it sounds nuts but I know what I saw.

We're not talking about websites in general. We're talking about a forum that's built using the vBulletin suite from 2006. If it had the capacity to save drafts then it would be a feature available to the users because it's extremely useful.

Imagine writing a post for half an hour and then your browser crashes or you accidentally close the tab. Wouldn't it be nice to have that text available when you reload the page?

The third looks best, because the angle is closer to the strokes on the other letterforms.

This is worse. The letterforms are distorted, because they are too wide. I generally prefer not to adjust the proportions of designed typefaces at all. But since this is a logo, you could make it slightly wider than normal. But probably not greater than 15%.

I'm designing all letters from scratch. Lines, circles, and consistent angles.

The thinner S😖 are designed with a 15-degree displacement of two circles, and the wider ones with a 30-degree displacement.

The line I'm talking about is highlighted.

First, with regard to the angle of the stroke, I am referring to the stroke, not the stem:

I am suggesting that since the S is the end cap of the logo, that the angle of its strokes should mirror that of the P.

Next, with regard to the degree of displacement, 15% appears geometrically equivalent. At 30% displacement, the letterform appears wide instead of proportionate. So what I am suggesting is that if you want a wider letterform, that you should aim for 115% of the 15% displacement, or ~17.25%. Although, with typefaces, I prefer to use whole numbers, so perhaps 18%. That gives you a wider letterform without it looking distorted compared to the others that appear more even.
