Originally posted by Galan007my last two children were born in Wisconsin, they may one day decide to be Americans over British, Nigerian, Ghanaian, French or Irish they are entitled to a lot of passports. I have EU through Ireland and my UK. The Mrs has Nigerian and Ghanaian and French through her grandparents and the kids have all that because we hold them plus US... so they have options, if they choose America, I hope it has got better same if they choose the UK, Europe or Africa.

It's burning an American flag is a constitutional right then so is burning it pride flag or taking a dookie on it as happened.

In my opinion you should be allowed to burn whatever flags or texts you want. We're supposed to live in a free society, as long as you're not threatening-, inciting-, or carrying out violence you're not doing anything wrong. If people are offended by your beliefs (whatever they happen to be) then they should grow thicker skin.

Actually, free speech was never about protesting any specific thing. A neo nazi is theoretically free to protest the existence of ovens without targeted groups in them, otherwise the KKK would or Westboro Baptist Church would not be allowed to operate. Which they ARE.
This seems to be one point many do not understand, the CONTENT is irrelevant. What is considered proper and good changes with time, and what the vast public and governments agree is acceptable speech is subjective.
Therefore one should be free to declare against a state, or against a group, or against whatever they wish.
That plus LGBTQ is hardly comparable to ethnicity or race. Calling a person born as a man who has surgery a woman is ideological, not scientific. Preventing one being forced to accept a thing, or being repressed from expression, is the entire POINT.

The burning of the American flag doesn't have to be in protest of elected officials, it can just as well be to signal a threat of violence against American citizens. But it doesn't have to be...just like burning a Pride flag doesn't have to be a threat of violence against LGBT-people.

Your idea of free speech utterly fails to comprehend the message behind the form of speech. And I see this malformed logic only peddled by either the ignorant or the hateful.

This is America motherf#cker. Where all are guaranteed freedom. Including freedom from being terrorized by their own (or those who flimsily pretend they're American).

But you're ok with protesting against the government.
So if the government says "People who chop their dicks off are women" and you wanna protest it, where's the problem?
I'm with you 100% about the crosses burning thing because that's a clear threat, being anti-tranny when kids are involved is another thing. A homeless black man reported in the news for dookie on a pride flag is NOT equivalent to burning a cross on a black mans yard, at least not the way I see it.
That kind of logic got us women voting and holding jobs and wearing pants, even Martian Luther King Jr. said "We marched for slavery, and those hoes wanna protest against making me a delicious dinner in the kitchen **** that".
