Cool, a coup! A real one, not the Jan 6 temper tantrum.

They split from one nation, right? So like North and South Korea?
I guess this would make Niger more like North Korea if the military coup holds.
"Niger is a FRANCOPHONE country while Nigeria is an ANGLOPHONE country."
Francophone? Angelophone?
Originally posted by cdtmnot exactly, no. The boundaries were colonial imposed and have never worked. Nigeria is actually many States joined.

I mentored this before, but it really bugs me.
An elderly woman was penalized by a point system that assigns points against those who miss work time, to go towards a firing.
She missed work because she had a heart attack, at work.
I mention this on social media, and am disturbed with how many justify this practice. How can that be? Are most people on Quora members of the managerial class, and like the Horse in Animal Farm will justify literally any practice at all a company makes in pursuit of profits?
At what point did common sense become something you abandon in business?
Went on a rant on Quora against bureaucrats, calling them soulless and such. Stopped short of giving an FU to American policy and claiming the entire country deserves to fall.
Because I honestly don't know whether the feds really do flag every single unhinged rant as a potential radicalized person, nor what actions they take against such people.
I mean odds are I crossed that line long ago but not gonna start talking like a member of ISIS or Christian Fundamentalists on social media.
Originally posted by Robtardthe thing is those boundaries and the single nation we imposed on disparate tribes is always unlikely to work. Although, no one expected the Igbo genocide in the 60's (where they were literally starved out) or Biafra etc. In terms of Niger, the 5th wife slavery thing still goes on on the border with Nigeria... I could tell you some stories.
I did enjoy Whirly having to give cdtm a geography lesson 👆
