I only argue speed against Supes fanatics. Debating with a normal person, I would auto say Gladiator over powers his opponent if I think he can win.

And IIRC, at least during the time frame, Hulk was amped, I think being a conduit from energy from another universe. I believe someone pointed out a different writer wrote that so might not have taken it into account but it was going on at the time in the regular issues so canon wise Hulk was more powerful than normal.

Yes, people say he was amped, but during this entire run he was more angrier than ever while at the same time, he was dying.
He also had a sharpnel in his brain that was killing him as well.

OK, I was wrong about which fight as I only knew of one and just glanced at the thumbnails.

That's not Gladiator at his best. More of a low showing.
Gladiator easily has the strength to toss or his Hulk into space (full confidence).
Gladiator shouldn't have got hit by Hulk that soon into the fight. His speed and perceptions shouldn't allowed it.
Characters fight with full capacity in a forum. Instances where they aren't fighting at full capacity in a comic holds little water.
