I do have to agree though that Watters earned a fan with his Lucy series. I adore long form storytelling.
His Detective with Ram V has been great too.
I feel like I enjoy everything both of those guys touch that I’ve read.

Edited for accuracy. Trying to justify IDLI, IDH is self-serving. But here, in a fit of irony, it's just self-destructive.

Option 1: Vol.2 is canon and even the most casual reader can see how pointless it is to salvage any sort of supposed "multiversally singular" status of Yahweh, Elaine, Lucifer or Michael. Option 2: You want to pretend vol.2 is set in another alternate universe, starring alternate versions of these characters? Welp, that dispels that supposed "multiversally singular" status of their's inherently. That's a nice ole catch-22 you set yourself up there.

Reread vol.3. You don't have to "reconcile" anything. It's fairly obvious when it takes place unless you're trying to ignore that and conduct more pointless damage control.
