I don't understand why people read "tractor wielded by Superman" and think "oh well, just a tractor then"

Is there something about a tractor that disrupts the connections in your brain?

Or do you just not understand the basics of comic book physics?

See above examples from qwerty and ODG. Another, less extreme but still apt: https://imgur.com/a/TzIDyQR

I think that's a signpost?

Now the insult slinging from the chief narcissist. What is it about that soft filling between your dirty ears don't you get? Heralds are far too durable to be harmed by a tractor. Superman visit the sun without harm. A star is far greater in terms of damage yield than a tractor. Stop being a moron

and yet:

Yeah, especially when we have this for example

And the force requires to do it is akin to Tsar Bomba according to this guy on quora

I'm a big fan of this fight but I always chuckled at how a streetlamp being used as a bludgeon seemed to be a significant blow.

Like... if we take the durability of Bor at full faith and credit where Mjolnir literally broke to pieces in the fight's final deathblow simply because of how durable Bor was... a streetlamp should've been like a foam bat:

I'm "slinging insults" because you're refusing to read, or acknowledge an obvious comic book trope.

^ stfu, you narcissist 😂

I ain't gonna lie -- even though the narcissist angle is way out-of-whack given my own debates with Smurph -- taken out of context... this part of the post kinda fire.

Please forgive me if I copy it in the future.

Another example, MMH sucker punching Black Adam with this steel beam. No harm to the beam, notably: https://imgur.com/a/nGJbaPP

^ All I see is J'onn being a lil b1tch.

D1s narcissist, yo.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Two little b1tches, one intact beam.

^ Clear out dat soft filling between your dirty ears!!!! sneer

When Superman braces, he can tank hits from Doomsday. Not many, but still. Doomsday would tear Frankie to shreds. Superman dials up his strength, durability, and all other powers when he stops holding back. This is why the tractor stun/ko isn't necessarily a low for him, if you were willing to understand this based on the character himself. Zod would laugh in Franks face no cap.

I don't even know who you're talking to at this point.

I've been saying that the tractor thing isn't necessarily a low showing. You've been squawking about your poor understanding of comic books, physics, and comic book physics.

No, yea, srsly it sounds like you're agreeing with us? To be clear though, we are just positing that Superman is not exceptional in this regard. Pretty much every comic superhero exhibits this.

Yeah, I don't know if Stoic is arguing or agreeing at this point? Either way, illogical comic book physics has been a thing since, well, the inception of comic books.

I know this isn't strictly "battle related", but anytime a character catches/lifts/carries a massive object through physical strength alone(ie. skyscrapers, trains, airplanes, battleships, submarines, etc. etc.), they should either pop right through it, OR said object should snap/crumble from the sheer forces being exerted(or both.) Think about it: thousands of tons of force concentrated on a very small area(ie. their hands)..? That would be like trying to catch a falling walrus with the point of a knife. It shouldn't be possible, but it typically is. Why? Cuz comic book physics. Real world logic need not apply here.

excellent

Y'all are all stupid. Clark grew up on a farm. Pa Kent and others touched him on a tractor and that bypassed his mental blocks. /Debate

Hey man we get what you’re saying, heralds are way more durable than a crane or a steel beams.

It should be like one of us getting smacked by cotton candy on a cone. No matter how much force you put behind it, it’s not going to even make us budge.

So when Frankenstein swinging a tractor at Superman it should have shattered, but the crane weighs a lot more than Superman and it is hard and tough enough to support Superman’s weight. So unless Superman is bracing for the hit, the weight and toughness of the crane+ Frank’s strength should knock Superman back for city blocks if not miles.

Don't forget the farm animals... they've had their way with Clark, too...

I believe that that tractor would fall apart. Would you be KO'd by a bag of feathers swung at you by someone 20% stronger than you? Probably not. You'd feel it, and possibly become stunned, but you'll remain conscious.
This also made me lol

Imagine someone swinging a feather pillow at your head.

Now imagine that the pillow weighs, like, 25 pounds.

Bag of feathers could still f*ck you up.

What if the pillow was made of 25lbs of lead? Checkmate.
