Adonis isn't strong enough to take down Rocky but Rocky isn't skilled or fast enough to keep up with Adonis. What happens then is that Adonis uses Rocky as a punching bag, racks up points, then wins via an easy decision.
Adonis might get knocked down somewhere in the middle rounds while he gets careless but that should immediately put him back on his toes.

The big problem here is if Rocky catches Adonis then it is an instant ko. Rocky is far stronger than anyone Creed faced.

Adonis' technical skills are far more advanced than his father's and light years ahead of Rocky. Yes, Adonis has been hit before... by other top contenders of modern times. Sure he'll get hit by Rocky, but not so much that he'll be in danger. It's not like Adonis has a glass jaw. In the end, Adonis is just far more skilled than Rocky and should win a boxing match due to points. Put them on the street however and Rocky wins.

I see you don't know much about boxing, let me educate you. Ali actually had pretty bad boxing technique, but he pulled it off because he had tremendous speed and reflexes. Apollo was patterned after him.
Rocky Marciano also had fairly crap technique and almost no footwork, but he pulled it off due to insane conditioning and heart coupled with strong punching power. But it should be noted that the vast majority of Marciano's opponents were very small heavyweights, usually weighing under 200 pounds. Balboa was patterned after Marciano. Rocky Balboa in the movies is a small heavyweight, only weighs around the 200 pound mark

With an approximately 4 square inch of striking surface this will equate to about 9000lbs (4.5 tons) of force. This will kill ordinary humans easily as it would crush bones with ease and smash organs and the brain.
Although weaker, Rocky was within the vicinity of Drago in punching power based off his performance against Drago.
Adonis is not even bothering Rocky with his punches while Rocky will at least ko (most likely greatly injure) Adonis.

Drago's punching power has got nothing to do with Rocky's punching power. Holyfield punches significantly weaker than Tyson but he was still able to beat him. Same with Mayweather and Pacquiao. Same with Ali and Foreman. Just because you can beat someone doesn't mean that your punching power is in "similar vicinity" to theirs.

It does matter. To withstanding something is to NOT take permanent damage. Even if he healed 100% after (which he didn’t, as he said in creed 2), he still could not claim to have withstood

I'll exaggerate so that you get the point.
A being entering the Sun for 5 minutes and leaves with only 1st degree burns but lives is A GREAT FEAT, because in reality, a human would be disintegrated.
So Rocky suffering ONLY brain DAMAGE (but is alive) is equivalent to leaving the Sun with only 1st degree burns (but you live). This is because a normal human's skull would have been smash (broken to many pieces) and their brain would have been splattered. Dead as a doornail.
