Rogue vs. Meggan

Started by ODG2 pages

Out of curiosity, does Meggan actually wear clothes? Or is she essentially naked and just manifesting part of her body into the semblance of clothing like Mystique does?

If Meggan has no actual clothing or, her limited human clothing would be torn apart as soon as she metamorphs into anything beyond a pixie blond's physique... then Rogue could touch any part of her body to absorb her power.

Unless Meggan can metamorph her body and manifest armor that would negate the skin-to-skin contact Rogue's mutant ability requires?

good question. my impression was it was clothes but....beats me.

an empathic attack would definitely be her best bet. i think if rogue can touch her meggan is in a load of trouble.

Meggan is also an elemental who can control the ground, create ice, make shields. There's no reason that Rogue should be able to walk up and touch her.

A writer could pen a really cool interaction between Meggan's life-force control, and Rogue's life-force draining. I think under forum rules I'd give Meggan the majority. She rarely gets the spotlight these days, but full capacity Meggan still seems beyond most versions of Rogue.

Don't forget Meggan can turn to mist/air. Rogue isn't touching her unless Meggan forgets Rogue's powerset and let's it happen.

So, a usual kmc thread.

not too sure about half credit....i think the drain would be a big edge. it's possible meggan no sells it, i just don't think it likely but she's such a weird character who knows. i do think at some point rogue would get in close enough to use most of the time. the effects would determine how this went.

And then there's this :

I mean she died but she stopped the Chaos Wave from destroying the Omniverse. I legit think Rogue would overload trying to absorb her powers.

^ I will admit, I ain't read that actual comic's scenes in years. But from the panels themselves, it seems like Megan is drawing on the power of the Beyond.

If I ain't missing something, seems like that wouldn't be an option in a neutral environment.

Yeah, she's an elemental/empathic/shapeshifter that draws power from her surroundings. It doesn't matter if she's on Earth or in the Void. She did the same thing vs Galactus. She was drawing power from the Earth and causing environmental havoc. Rachel had to talk her out of it. I linked the scan in a pervious post.
