Pastor Gets 11 Years On Child Sex Charges
A Racine pastor convicted of child enticement was sentenced Monday to 11 years in prison. Prosecutors argued Bernabe Leon-Alvarez used his position of power to inappropriately touch two teenage girls while he worked at a Racine church that is now closed.
A jury found him guilty of attempted sexual exploitation by a therapist and child enticement. One of the victims spoke in court Monday.
"All I know is that what happened that day in the basement will forever be engrained in my mind and he will never know how he affected my life afterwards," she said.
Pastor Gets Two Years On Child Porn Charges
The former pastor of a now-shuttered Calvary Chapel congregation in south-central Texas has been sentenced to two years in prison for possessing child sex abuse material. On Tuesday, Judge Phil Grant of the 9th District Court of Texas sentenced Bruce Hollen, 63, to two years in state prison, according to court records.
For several years, Hollen had been lead pastor of Calvary Chapel of The Woodlands in the north suburbs of Houston. Court records summarized in the report describe the images that Hollen possessed as "of girls between the ages of 9 and 12 years old, naked from the waist down. In some of the images, the girls were engaged in sexual activity."
Christian School Teacher Jailed on Child Sex Charges
A teacher at a Thiensville private school has been charged with child sex crimes. Daniel Rick, 36, of Jackson is a teacher and athletic director at Christ Alone Lutheran School. He faces charges of child enticement, and exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child.
According to the criminal complaint, Rick picked "favorite" boy students each year, and had them sit on his lap. Then he would touch their stomachs, rub their backs, and kiss them.
When parents met with Rick to discuss his behavior in January 2024, Rick "quickly broke into tears," then tried justifying his actions with a comparison to Jesus, saying, "Let the little children come to me."
Rick also claimed that he did not initiate the physical contact, and that it was the students who started it.
Priest Pleads Guilty to Raping 7 Children
A Catholic priest's sex assaults on Inuit children decades ago in Igloolik transformed a once friendly and trusting hamlet into a place marred by anger and addiction, court heard Thursday.
Wails and shouts could be heard in the Iqaluit courtroom where Eric Dejaeger pleaded guilty to indecent assaults against six girls and one boy between 1978 and 1982. He had previously been convicted of dozens of offences against children and some adults.
Prosecutor Emma Baasch described each of the assaults in graphic detail in the Nunavut Court of Justice. Baasch spoke of horrific sex acts. Children were as young as four when the abuse began, she said.
One complainant described blacking out from the pain. In some cases, it began with the priest offering the children candy. Court heard Dejaeger gave a picture to a girl to colour before taking her on his lap and assaulting her. It was of Jesus giving someone a flower.
One of the victims told the court that at age six, she would urinate on herself in the hope of fending off his advances. He was released from prison in 2022 on his previous convictions.

Some of the abuse suffered by Jane Doe, who was born in 2007, is alleged to have taken place at the mansion during a youth barbecue. Rivera played 19 seasons with the Yankees and is the only player unanimously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The Riveras are not listed as defendants in the lawsuit.

People who protect the child molesters are just as guilty as the child molesters.

Cleveland County deputies arrested a pastor accused of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, and investigators say there could be more victims. James McMillan was arrested Tuesday afternoon, and court documents show that there are multiple Department of Human Services and law enforcement cases where he is listed as a sexual abuse suspect dating back to 2003.The court documents state that McMillan was traveling with an underage victim on Cleveland County when they got stuck in traffic. The victim claimed McMillan unzipped his pants and began touching himself in front of the victim. In 2014, when McMillan was the pastor at First Baptist Church of Konawa, he claimed his First Amendment rights were being violated for not being allowed to pray before a high school game.
The Cleveland County District Attorney's office has charged a pastor who is accused of sending an unsolicited nude photo of himself to a Kansas teenager.
Court documents allege McMillan added the victim on Snapchat in 2023. The victim told police at the time McMillan would have had to use his son's phone, her former classmate, to look up her account by name due to privacy settings.
The victim told authorities McMillan sent her an unprompted photo of himself working out and flexing in the mirror. McMillan then asked the victim if she wanted to see more before sending her an unsolicited nude photo of himself.
The warrant was executed in connection to a different set of allegations McMillan was arrested for in November, claiming he was sexually inappropriate with a different underaged child and exposed himself to them.
Pardoned Rioter Sought on Child Solicitation Charge
Thanks to Donald Trump, a Texas man who beat police officers with a metal whip and showered them with bear spray during the January 6 riot had his more than six-year prison sentence ended.
But 36-year-old Andrew Taake may be headed back to jail anyway. Taake made headlines at the time of his arrest because he was turned in by a woman he met on the dating app Bumble—and for the violence he inflicted on cops.
At the time of the riot, Taake was on pretrial release for a 2016 charge of online solicitation of a minor out of Harris County in Houston. Now that his federal case is over, state prosecutors have picked up the solicitation case once again.
A Harris County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman said that the agency has issued an arrest warrant for Taake. He remains at large as of Monday morning.

Megachurch Pastor Retires After Prostitution Arrest
A Texas megachurch pastor retired last month following an arrest for solicitation of prostitution at a massage parlor. Reverend John F. Fiedler led the 15,000-member Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, until his retirement on December 31st 2024, church records show.
Police documents allege that Fielder was caught in a prostitution bust carried out on October 2, 2024 at Massage Ease in Carrollton, Collin County. Fiedler surrendered to police on October 31st 2024, in response to an arrest warrant for solicitation of prostitution, court records show.
Fiedler was then put in the town's municipal jail. Fiedler's attorney, Mark Lassiter, then asked the courts to release Fiedler on a personal recognize bond, according to the records. The court then set Fiedler's bond at $1,000 and granted him a writ of habeas corpus, which prevented the case from going any further.
Lassiter contended for the writ because Fielder, 72, had no prior criminal history and had been diagnosed with dementia, the records state.
Republican Official Arrested in Child Sex Sting
The Vice Chair of the Clay Soil and Water Conservation Board, and son of Clay County School Board Member Beth Clark, was arrested Sunday, January 19th in a child sex sting operation conducted by the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
According to the arrest report, Harrison "Ted" Clark is accused of traveling to meet a child for sex, soliciting a child online, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Clark viewed the fake profile of the child on a hookup application, "Sniffies," and began talking to the boy, who he believed was 14-years-old. Over the app, Clark is said to have told the child his age and said, "Hopefully not too old for ya," before exchanging phone numbers.

Youth Pastor Arrested on Child Sex Charges
A 41-year-old Tehachapi youth pastor was arrested Monday following an investigation that revealed a sexual assault of a teen victim.
On January 27th 2025, Tehachapi police arrested Adrian Daugherty, 41, following an investigation that Daugherty committed lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.
Daugherty is a youth pastor at the Tehachapi Church of the Nazarene, said police. He was booked into the Kern County Jail.

These are are a breath of fresh air, sure he's a Conservative hypocrite, but at least another child was not raped.
