Thunderbolts (2025)

So is this good? Should I go see it in the theater?

How does it compare to say, the Black Widow movie or the Captain America movies?

Its good.

Go see it.

Better than Black Widow and Brave New World.

I just re-watched Captain America: the First Avenger. I enjoyed it a lot more now than I did initially in the theater. How does it compare to that?

^^^Totally different types of movies, at two radically different points in the MCU.

I mean, i like them both, for different reasons.

If you do watch *Thunderbolts at the theater, let us know how you like it (or don't); it seems like you’re putting some thought into this, which is good.

Fair enough.

Yeah, I have a friend who said this is from the writer of a show called BEEF on Netflix and for that reason he has higher hopes for it.

Plus it's getting some decent reviews, so I might bite.

While I didn't think the movie was great, I do think it's worth seeing in theaters. Was a nice breath of fresh air for the MCU.

Fair enough. It's basically between this and Sinners. I'm trying to decide which one to go to.

^^^Ooh, action or horror.
Which…will you…choose???!??

^ Yes, that is the great dilemma!

I actually saw this today. Haha, and I hope to see Sinners also. So hopefully best of both worlds.

I enjoyed this, but I wasn't expecting it to be so heavy in theme. So I wouldn't exactly call it a "fun" movie. So it's kind of odd that Marvel is using this as a way of reinvigorating their "Avengers" spark. I give them credit for sort of spoofing themselves by calling them "The New Avengers."

^^^Yeah, it -was- a little heavy but man compared to Sinners *Thunderbolts is freaking Happy Gilmore!

Well, yeah. I mean, I'm expecting some heavy elements with Sinners given the name and that's it's a horror movie.

^^^Agreed!

Still, isn't that whats cool about comics? That there can be heavy stuff mixed in w. all the action and absurdity?

That's true, I guess. I guess I just wasn't expecting it. And it's cool, though, because not many movies deal with such themes, at least not in the big budget action genre. "Smile" was about mental illness/depression, too, I'd say, but it's a horror movie.

^^^Its nice to be surprised though, when its written well.

And yeah, that girl in Smile was already dealing w. some isdues that would come back to bite her in the ass before the horror adpect ever kicked in.
