Order of the Phoenix - OFFICIAL THREAD - ~*~SPOILERS~*~

Started by Wizard Lord55 pages

I agree with most of the points you made in your review of the book nomah5524, but there was some Quidditch in which Harry featured in (one match and a few practice sessions) and the Quidditch Tournament between the houses still continued even without Harry, although each match wasn't described to it's best. In the book you really did learn to hate the Ministry but everything worked out in the end and Harry no longer recieved slander from the "Daily Prophet"/Ministry/Wizarding Community - Sirius' death was sad though, I do agree. Harry leading/forming the DA Group and teaching students in Defence Against the Dark Arts was a great aspect of the book and it would have been nice to see Harry and Cho go out. Their relationship in the book did exsist though, even if it was on and off, but it's sad that Harry and Cho may never talk to each other again in the following books (leaving Hogwarts in the train, Harry feels that he no longer cared to show off for Cho anymore, but who knows what might happen). Oh yeah, and Cho probally is realllly hot 😉 😍 heh heh heh

My opinion.

I personally was dissapointed with the book. I cannot honestly say what it is that has dissapointed me, but I feel as though the book was missing that little bit that would have made the book as amazing as the 4th.

It seemed that it took to long to really get into the action and I personally found the secrecy of the 'Order' frustrating. It seemed that everything to began with just went around in circles.

As for the ending I personally found it upsetting that he died, though I was not surprised as the build up to his frustration would quite obviously be his downfall.

The lack of quidditch didn't affect me, but the lack of direction in the book did. It seemed that they never knew what to do.

All in all I was happy enough, but I realised that she has agreed to write 7 books and 7 films, therefore she will quite obviously have been setting up this book for book 6 and book 7.

yeh i rekon Cho is gonna be hot aswell but i do think they will get together officially in book 6 i also thought about somethin that JK mite do and thats make Harry Quidditch captain in the 6th book, makes perfect sense to me!

I agree with everything you have said. Or nearly everything 🙂. I loved the DA and hated the Ministry. It was a masterstroke.

Please let Harry and Cho get back together! 💃

I ALSO dont think that book 5 wasnt as good, allot DID go on in book 4 eg the triwizard tournament BUT book 5 is more of a thriller and is allot darker, it also explains a hell of allot more about different stuff and it STILL had that ' must read on' effect on me like the other 4 did

Erm... I believe that Ron will be made captain and listen to my theory why:

If you cast your mind back to the first book, it had the mirror of Erised in it. This mirror show the deepest disires of the person that looked into it. Therefore, when Ron looked into it he saw himself as Head Boy holding the Quidditch Cup. He is already a prefect! Could he maybe become captain...

Thats true. But it took to long to get into the action. Unfortunately we will have to wait a year and a half(?) to read on and found out some more. 😠

well it will DEF be worth the wait but i dont think (hopefully) it will take JK as long as she did with num 5 to write

Well I hope I'm right. So any ideas for the new book and what it's plot may be?

Well I think he will do well on his exams. After all he wanted to become an Auror. I will be interested to see the outcome of the Joke shop set up by the twins.

I dont want Harry to be with Cho, I didnt much like her. I do like Ginny, he should be with her. I also think she will be a lot like the twins, she was into trouble and seemed to know a lot more than as she was previously portrayed as innocent.

I also think that Sirius will have to "come back" in some way, he was developewd too much to be thrown away, and Harry deserves to have someone besides the Dursleys. I think that they will have problems again wiht the Dark Arts teacher, or else Tonks will come to teach.

Personally, i think that Hagrid and Grawp will have more of a role in the next story as well as Grwps lady friend.

But If you hear a when about the next book let me know, I am already on the edge of my seat for it!

i dont know about the rest of you but i really couldnt put that book down, only time i stopped was to use the bathroom. i laso agree with meandyoutoo, j.k. rowlling will have to bring back sirius, oh and someone asked if he died no bellatrix i think sent some curse, but it was described as red and avada kadavra is green, sirius was probably hit with stupefy and then fell though that black curtin doorway or what ever it was, i also think malfoy being all pissed off that his dad was chucked out to azkaban was hillarious.

The book is good but not as good as her previous ones. Too long a wait for it and I didn't feel Voldermort made his mark very much. The end of Book 4 made me feel as though a war was about to begin but Big V ended up just lurking in the background for most of the book.

I also agree that Gawp was a bit of a dead storyline and there were too many details which seemed like an obvious set up for later books. i.e I am reasonably sure JK will return to the brains or the veil in her later books...

Overall it was a good read but this time I have more patience to wait for the next book...

hey i'm confused with the whole thestral thing. Harry could see them this year because he saw cedric die last year but shouldnt he have been able to see them all along because he saw his parents die even if he was only young?? plz help im confused with that and the fact that the jet of light that hit sirius was red not green like avada kadavra.
mmmmmmmnnnnnn??

it was great... tonks and lupin? now thats something i never thought about. now that you mention it though, its kinda a good idea! but harry and ginny - no. just... no.
i almost cried when "that person" died. im still upset and i finished it days ago!! im over emotional, hehe, thats what my friend says at least.
fred and george are so fantastically cool! lol, theyre cool!
hary was really different... he was quite scary in parts...j/k. very different though.
umm... what else is there for me to give my opinion on?

isnt avada kedavra red?
and i was confused about the thestrals too...

yeh yeh
