LOL. We don't suck, thelotrlovr15. Well... I have my reasons why I said the 5th book is "too detailed." It wasn't because I was confused or anything like FBfan777 said. I definitely and completely understood the book. It's just that JKR made it too detailed and too long, and what do we find out in the end? It outcomes the one and only major main thing we've found out so far; Harry was born because he's GOT to kill Voldemort. The fact that Sirius died is a personal opinion. Why does she have to kill the most lovable character of all? It sucks @ss. Of course I love the way JKR developed some of the characters, like Ginny Weasley for instance. She's wicked! But my point is, the 5th book had too much drama, and it only lead us to one main thing--- "the prophecy." To sum it all up, the book doesn't even have most of the questions lingering in my mind answered. Instead, the book made me ask more questions. LOL. I have lots more reason why I'm not that fond of the 5th book. But I'll leave it at that.
The third book is still my favorite of all because it's "clean" and "sure." It didn't leave me asking stupid questions. It didn't make me ask any questions at all. It did what it had to do, which is to entertain me. =)

You do realize that there are still two more books left in the series, right? It seems obvious that there are going to be a lot of things that are not tied up yet. If there wasn't, no one would care about what happened in the next book. Yes, Harry can be quite annoying in this book, but look back to when you were that age. I was probably feeling a lot of the same feelings he was too. My point, have patience and know that everything will be answered over the course of the next two books. It could be a lot worse if the series were like the Left Behind books. It'd take a book just to cover five minutes of time, and that gets old very quickly.
The 5th book lacked something for me and also The death was a huge let down, It seemed over to quickly, I thought it was a joke, I dont understand why sirius was killed off and I dont know why it was so emotionless the way it happened it just didnt do anything for me, I was expecting so much more, people had told me they cried and that it was such a shock but when it happened I was just like "Oh"... Dont get me wrong I did enjoy the book mostly..it was just lacking something...not sure what..just I expected more I suppose.
So Im hoping the 3rd Film will be as good as the last 2 and I hope the new director hasn't ruined it!
And I can't wait for the next books, Plus I heard there may be an 8th book!!! Yes Rowling said she is seriously thinking about writing Harry in his Adult years. Yay!!

Yes, of course I am aware that there are still two more books left to come out. But didn't you see my point? I know that it's not supposed to be "tied up" yet, but OOTP could have at least been "clean" enough to make the book stand up on its own without a prequel or a sequel. You do know what I mean, do you? Take the 1-4 Harry Potter books for instance; each of them could stand up as just one book without wondering what is this and what is that? No offense to JKR (she really is a talented writer, and I really do admire her), but it seemed like she wrote OOTP not because she wanted to continue the story but because she wanted the readers to buy the next book (6th). If you're thinking that the 4th book is the same as 5th, also a cliff-hanger...NOT really. The 4th book left most people wondering, NOT questioning. The 5th book left us QUESTIONING why and how--- NOT what. Because the more we find out about the future problems and secrets in the 5th book without any solutions and answers, the more it makes us question, the more it forces us to buy the next book--- not directly because we want to read the story, but because we need our questions answered. You said it yourself "It seems obvious that there are going to be a lot of things that are not tied up yet. If there wasn't, no one would care about what happened in the next book." But of course, I still do love how JKR developed the characters in the 5th book and that's what really made me stay truthful to the books. I just didn't really like the 5th book as much as I liked the other 4. 🙂

Well of cause he is going to be acting crazy. Imagine if you where put in that position. God Id probally have to be sent to a mantal home. Id be screaming at everyone. LOL it would be fun He He. Anyway the fith book is definatly confusing. It does make more questionsbut as someone said there is still 2 more to come out. I think it was good and bad. I remeber getting confused with the whole umbridge taking over the school and everything the first time I read it but thats only because it was about 4 oclock in the morning and I had been reading it all night so I wasnt realy taking it in. Ha I sound like a book worm.
i loved the 5th book. i honestly can't see why people don't like it. It was by far my favourite. I hear every1 saying that it was detailed and leaves questions and can't stand up on its own without past or future books but i can't see why any of those things are a problem. For me, its what made it better. I loved the detail and emotions. I loved thinking about the questions and what might happen in the next book. I loved that it required prior knowledge to understand and enjoy it. Before this book i thought POA was the best book but now when i compare them i just think OotP is in a league of its own. I think its a fantastic book
I love the 5th book, except Sirius' death. It makes the book...dark.
The first twenty-nine chapter is funny, and it's good to "see" how they make a fool of Umbridge. But at the end of the twenty-nineth chapter, Fred and George goes away. And the fun disappears with the twins. (Nice thought, isn't it? lookaround)
So as I said somewhere before, I love reading the "Order of the Phoenix", but I never wanna finish reading the book, because I know I will be depressed if I do. (And I always do! cry)
I am excited for the next one but what as I said the first time I read it some parts I had to stop and say what? Like how sirius died, He falls behind some curtain and dies.
This book I was disappointed by, but I hope the next book is better. I have liked all of the other books until now, and when I finished this book I was like oh...that was pleasent.
JKR really knows how to build suspense and leave questions and a wondering. Still I hated the fifth book Harry was a selfish brat and was mean to everyone, he acted way to superior and made his friends feel like they did nothing to contribute.
Now i am wondering how long the next book will be and will the movies for the 4th and 5th book be 5 hours long?
