When riding home on the train from work today, it was ticket inspection time. Here in Copenhagen you can, in principle, walk right on the local trains and subways, and only when ticket inspectors show up, is it a good idea to have a valid fare.
The tiny inspector woman, was walking around, checking tickets, when this huge, bald, evil-looking man rushed up to her, to tell her he’d not had the time to punch his card.
Tough luck.
At this point he started the intimidation show one can expect from these geeks, shoving his finger in her face, telling her to “the f*ck listen to her, because…” I quietly observed the unfolding events.
When he threatened to hit her, I got up, and was in HIS face, telling him to leave the ticket inspector alone, as he was only doing her job. Which of course resulted in him threatening me as well. Woaw, big muscular guy, facing down two tiny women.
So I just told him to “bring it on”, what could I do anyways? The ticket collector called the police, and the man was removed from the train at central station.
I was quite full of myself and my bravery for a while. I’ve done stuff like this before, usually getting away with it, I reckon, because violent geeks get completely confused when a tiny blonde starts to tell them off.
One of these days I’m going to get in BIG trouble. BIG trouble… One of these days the geek is going to slap me senseless. Sure, I know some MA, but I’m not sure I’m handling this very wise…
