No Jossin'? Whedon on X-Men 3?

Joss Whedon, author of Astonishing X-Men and Buffy creator, is still being linked with X-Men 3.

A studio insider at 20th Century Fox reportedly treats rumor that Buffy creator Joss Whedon is directing X-Men 3 as fact. "Joss Whedon's doing X-Men next year of course...," the source told Moviehole.

That would certainly please the majority of fans who responded to a recent poll of who should replace Bryan Singer (who left to direct Superman). Whedon is currently writing Marvel Comics' Astoshing X-Men series.

Regarding casting, Halle Berry as Storm is still uncertain, the source said. "They're working on that." However, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) is reportedly back on board as is Famke Janssen (Jean Grey) who has much more to do this time around, the insider said.

Yeah which should be good and it means Cyclops will get more screen time in this one. I just hope it runs at least 2 hours and 30 minutes.

hope cyke is good in this one, as for the run time, most people(non fans) see this as a popcorn movie, i doubt itll hit 2 and a half, but im hoping it does

Yeah the only brave enough franchise to try running 2-3 hours so far has been LOTR and it worked out very good for them so hopefully they have learned something from that.

True but if the Pheonix saga takes up a big part of the film then all that won't be absolutely neccessary.

Well you always need that in a good film kind of manditory but thats what Patrick and Ian are there for.

Especially Famke since she will have a much larger role this time around. Marsden hasn't really got a chance to show what he can do yet so we will have to see what happens.

Don't know but for some reason his short height just really distracts me from completely convincing me he is Cyclops.
