He won't be writing it because Simon Kinberg (Fantastic Four) is already writing it. 😉 As for X3 it won't focus as mcuh on Wolverine this time around but rather the Dark Pheonix Saga. Wolverine will have his own film after X3 so it allows them to focus on the other characters a little more.

hey i heard they picked sarah michelle gellar for rogue! thats kinda odd if they did tho.😕 does ne one know whos gunna play gambit and psylocke?

I don't think there will be a Psylocke in X3. The franchise isn't really headed that way. Sarah Michelle Gellar is NOT playing Rogue in X3.

The Ultimate X fansite claims to have received word from a 20th Century Fox representative who has some good news about X-Men 3:

Regarding that, we are working VERY hard to find the perfect director to do X3. The studio has it narrowed down to a few good men, and talks are being held often between both parties. Two of these three men have worked with Fox Studios before, and have been suggested by not only the head of the studio, but executive producer, Avi Arad. It's getting quite close, and a final decision should be made shortly after final presentations are made to the studio.

Producer Ralph Winter told The Continuum he will be returning to work on the third X-Men movie.

"Yes, I will be producing along with Lauren," Winter said, referring to Lauren Shuler Donner.

Both producers worked on both of the previous X-Men movies. It was announced recently that Simon Kinberg is working on a script for X3, and a director should be announced fairly soon.

Bryan Singer, who directed the first two X-Men movies, is currently working on a Superman film for Warner Bros.

Winter, whose credits also include several Star Trek movies and Planet of the Apes, is currently producing Fantastic Four in Vancouver, British Columbia.

That's great about winter,I was hoping the producers where staying on board-that way we'll have x-3 with a similar style to the first two movies.Did anyone read the latest issue of wizard-don't know if this a load of crap or not,but they were saying how x-3 may not even be about the dark phoenix,instead with bryan gone they may decide to do a completely different angle-the biggest percentage in their graph being the sentinals.Also they were speculating on the chances of all the characters returning-wolvy beening the highest then mystigue,nightcrawler,rogue pyro and iceman at 85%.then they only gave famke/jean a 60% chance and storm an even lower percentage than that.The character that they think most likely not to return was collossous at 10%-and if he does they reckon a recast.Kelly hu wasn't even mentioned in poll,I guess they reckon she ain't even got a chance at coming back. 😕I guess we'll just have hope and wait for character and casting news,that our faviourites do come back=i'm crossing my fingers for Rogue.

i hope the movie has alot of wolverine,colusses,cyclops,gambit and beast action. i hope theirs a fight between pyro and iceman. dark phoeinex should come. night crawler should come back.

i heard nightcrawler has a solo battle with toad, and of corse iceman and pyro are going to duel, and if emma frost is in it, i wonder whos team she will be on, mabey she can try and fight dark phoenix

umm i read about the characters on a website, cant rememebr what it was though 🙁 ive tried to find it but i cant, and i think some one from KMC said toad and NC's battle, they also said it would be in the danger room, but that is kinda like what happened in evolution, mabey they were confused

wake up Paola! But Singer was the worst director to x-men movies. He destroyed caracters like Rogue (she is so naive and stupid in his movies), Iceman (he's stupid 2), Storm (without shine)...
