IESB caught up with producer Avi Arad on the set of Fantastic Four. He talked about Iron Fist, the future of Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Bryan Singer and who will be at the helm of X-Men 3.
On the subject of X-Men 3, he also shared a few tidbits. He told the IESB that the reasons behind Brian Singer jumping ship to take the helm of Superman mainly had to do with money. He was simply offered more to do Superman. There wasn't any falling out or bad blood.
Is Joss Whedon being considered as rumored? Arad says yes. If I was a bettin' man by the look that Avi Arad gave leads us to believe that Joss Whedon may indeed be directing X-Men 3…serious gut feeling people.
I always thought Bryan would be different from all the other money hungry directors out there but I was REALLY wrong.
He always talked about how he liked the X-Men so much because of the message they set out and etc. and all this time it was just lies.
Frankly, Bryan is just another greedy bastard in Hollywood now. 😉

'Rafferty Rulz' pointed us to this site where "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" creator Joss Whedon says he will talk about politics and X-Men 3 this Sunday, October 24th.
The truth about the X-Men is...much less important than this election. Much less important than putting someone in the White House who knows the difference between leading and bullying. I'm here to confirm that I will be doing the phone-party on Saunday and I'm urging any and everyone to attend one or even host one. (Highstakes2004.com.) I plan to be incredibly funny and insightful, or mention some people who have been in the past. We can talk about politics, we can talk about Buffy, we can talk about car maintenence (though I'll mostly just listen at that point) and I will once and for all tell you all what IS going on with the X-Men. And then we can talk about politics some more.

WHEDONesque attended the Joss Whedon fundraiser for the John Kerry campaign in which he finally put to rest rumors about X-Men 3:
Joss also said he would NOT be directing Xmen3, he wasn't going to be writing or directing it…he thought long and hard about it but Fox didn't ask him and if he showed up to start directing it would be a faux pas.
