i did, iceman is a stable character of x-men, if he left he'd be missed, he was always considered a class clown until the 90s when he was asked to infiltrate graydon creeds presidential campaign. Then there was all the shit with his father, and then creed had his father killed. he finally made peace with his dad.
then there's the fact he's been head over heels with lorna ever since he met her.

people like gambit for the same reason they like wolverine, he appeals to the lowest common denominator, he's a bad boy, big f*ckin deal.
