No, its zombies that are dead, ad if a zombie bites you, you turn into a zombie, same as with werewolves. but vampires can reproduce, coz how else are you going to get little itty bitty vamps? when a vamp bites you you die.

You dont have to be bitten to become a werewolf! There are curses that can inflict Lycanthropy. Also if your spirit guide is an animal and strong enough you can adopt its shape in some cases a wolf (See avatar).
