superman is deffaintly The one and only superhero peace justice and freedom, that is a superhero. I just think hes a little to powerfull thats the only reason hes not my favorite my fav is eigther spiderman because even though hes got a hefty source of power spiderman always end on a down note like reality and he sacrificed his future which was full of potential so he could be a hero for people. My favorite is spawn though he was evil even a diciple of evil and only did good deads to try and redeem himself , only rarely did he do it out of compassion untill he grew inside his mind and chose to do good with his power and doesnt care anymore if he goes to hell or not he just wants to rid the earth of hatred

Superman is the best SuperHero of all time, Spiderman is 2nd, and The Green Lantern is 3rd for me, fourth is Iron Man.

And at the bottom lowest of low is Batman. I despise him

Batman is #2 ...........although he doesn't have super powers( does a super bank account count?) he rocks

For me The Sandman is the best althought he is not a superhero as you can say... but yet still the best!! 2nd will be the Groo the Wanderer hehhehe

I love Green Lantern. He's always been my favorite and I'd love to see a Green Lantern movie, but I don't think it would be very good. There's too much stuff about GL that wouldn't translate well on film.

I like The Phantom but im not really a comic book reader.

I think Batman is the best. He is the only character who doesn't depend on powers. Instead he uses his intelligence and cunning to defeat people who seem much stronger than him. Unlike other super heroes he seems to be more realistic, at least to me.

You should at least give some supporting details instead of just bashing characters.

gambit, spiderman, and the human torch are pretty much tied for me though gambit and the human torch both have teams to help them out.

I gave details in some other thread i believe. Just like who like the fact that he doesn't have powers, i absolutely hate the fact that he doens't have powers. He's not a superhero(that implies super powers) he's just some hero...pretty boring if you ask me. If i wanted to read about "realistic heroes" i'd pick up a sci-fi book or something, not a comic book.

I think thew best Comic book heroes are the x-men because the writers give you the feeling that hey are real. What i mean with that is They weer not exposed to any gamma ray or bittn by a spider on any other insect. They are just human with some evolution "dysfunction"
The second best comic hero is Spider man beacause he is just a kid with a bunch of problems. Just like the most of us.

Hegemon arguement i love. THat's true. Batman is probably the only super hero that doesn't rely on specail strenght. But i don't really love him. I never saw something great in him. probably because of the movies.
I never liked any of the DC comics beacuse they wee all set in fake cities or something.

MArvel comics all used real cities. Once again they give you the feeling that it's real. X-men and Spiderman are in NEw york and i think the Hulk in California
