Thanos with the IG could fight Owen on Earth ending with Thanos getting ripped to shreds and Earth would still be intact. Hell, the city or area they are fighting in would probably be in perfect condition. Its Earth and it is a rare occasion a writer would have it exploding in an epic battle. Superboy prime fought an Ion amped Daxamite on earth and the maximum destruction they were able to produce was at max, a cemetary and we know for a fact Prime js at the minimum, planetary. Collateral damage doesnt mean a thing in comics. It's nice to look at but it means little. WWH and Ironman fight split New York clean in half.. are you implying Hulk used more power against Ironman than what he did against Sentry?
You know Carver. I’m too harsh on you. I agree with you on this

If you guys aren't going to contribute to the actual thread, you're better off taking it somewhere else. Bashing is for the OTT.

I never meant to go this route.
Anyway I contributed to the thread by clarifying stuff about Sentry.
Nemebro on the other hand, his second post was literally insulting me for no reason, like usual.

Please don't post anymore scans from that book. Romita's art is making me ill.

Really don't know. Didn't read that story.
Again, Sentry destroyed planets with his energy output,,,,,are we implying that he used more power when fighting WWH than that?

I absolutely understand that, but when the difference is so great. as in this case, it needs to be brought up.
Fair enough, but consider it a point in favor of Sentry's energy control.

Me and Enzeru just had a conversation on this. Anyway, Pak is the same guy who had 4 super amped WB plus level beings doing no damage to earth in the same comic 2 WB level Hulks kept destroying a planet.
Doing damage to Earth is pointless, even more pointless than collateral damage in general. And hurting Hulk on that level is more than likely a better feat than doing nothing to Photon (while both are holding back) but destroying planets in the process.

Sentry was also the hardest fight WWH had, which actually was so taxing on his energy that he reverted to Banner (one could attribute this due to Sentry's calming aura but I personally don't see this as the case). Hulk under the same writer in a weaker state was able to hold the planet Sakaar together with his bare hands. So I find it perfectly plausible that Sentry was busting out energies above planet-busting against Hulk, given what Hulk under the same writer has accomplished.

I agree with you that Sentry was consciously controlling the energy output also. So he's worrying about that and trying to fight the Hulk at the same time. How effective was he supposed to be?

Back to the point though, Thor would reduce him to nothing.
The molecule man showing is an outlier and not permitted unless specified anyway.
Other than that, Sentry simply can't handle the type of power coming his way.

Good points. I can go along with that. I feel Zom/Strange should have been the last battle. I would hold them higher than the Sentry.

Pak specifically wrote during that scene when he unleashed that Sentry used the power of a million (or billion) exploding suns. Again, collateral damage means nothing...especially when it takes place on earth.

I know what Pak was trying to do, but his execution of it all failed. In order for that scan of yours to hold any water, Reed Richards would have had to go on every mission that the Sentry was involved with.
Reed wasn't on this one-

Look, I don't even have any issues with the Sentry losing that fight, its the way he did that bothers me. Pak could have gotten the same or better results having the Sentry actually fighting to the best of his abilities. Why did he have him standing there letting the Hulk beat on him? Why did he have the Sentry acting like some kind of crack whore being all addicted to expelling all of that energy when the character has never exhibited behavior like that before? If the Hulk was his target, why didn't the Sentry just blast him from the sky and stay out of his reach? It was just a poorly written book. Pak could and should have done a better job.
