And the weapon was supposed to bury them deep under the planet at infinite gravity. None of them were even below the surface.

Look at the scans Abhi. Notice how Sif's entire body besides her arms and head are underground? That's because it straight up sunk her through the ground. She's not lifting her head, that's how she sunk. Not that it would have much mattered anyway.

Um yeah, I'll just cross check that with my handy physics to comics handbook. erm

I dont know where you believe that infinite weight is demonstrated only by them sinking into the ground. It doesn't have to make sense, its comics. I suppose the book with infinite pages should have sunk Superman and Cap into the ground too?
