If this battle were to be rewritten today, it'd go differently under Pak. He like Hercules more than he does the Hulk now imo and he's a writer who gets influenced by his preferences.

Hercules would probably preform closer to Juggernaut/Sentry than Thing/She-Hulk. I'd wager Pak thought of Hercules as the poor man's Thor as some writers do and used him as a benchmark to show how awesomez! Hulk is.

Am I using it as evidence? No, I'm simply making an observation. Pak is a writer who lets his preferences influence him. If they were to battle again under him, Hercules would more than likely come off looking noticeably better. He might even look like he'd win at some point. Take that as you will.

and he did.
if it was an actual fight hercules would have a lot more dignity in his eventual curbstomping though.

Lion skin protects mostly from piercing damage, not blunt force trauma.

I've held this opinion for awhile too.

Do you have scans of him using it?

There's no realistic reason why it would help against one and not the other.
'Piercing damage' is just force applied over a smaller area.

No, but that's how it works. Think Luke Cage.

Luke Cage has blunt force durability too, though.

It resists the attacks all right, but does it absorb it like Cap's shield? I doubt it.

that was some spin doctoring for sure, but it goes to shit at the same time when banner says "the worst beating imaginable" = all of three blows.
in hercules' defense, hulk oneshotted she-hulk and the thing, so taking three hits is okay i guess *shrug*
Don't forget... he also one shotted Ares.

But it's not comparable with his piercing resistance.

I've got scans of wolverine trying to cut the Nemean Lion (brought back to life via the power of Hera) and failing miserably and needing Herc to strangle it to kill it if you want me to post em.
