How many times have people anticipated Kurt's teleport before he arrives?
Alternatively, even zeta beams need to reach their destination, albeit quickly
I think teleportation is usually "nigh instantaneous" but the "nigh" part is where this thread lives

Honestly, he took off after they were already beamed and showed up around the same time in the same position as when he started. If
Iirc he can’t fly FTL on earth. More than likely he figured out that they were beamed to earth. He got to earth waited for them to materialize and then he located and flew to them. The delay of them showing up before Superman was shown floating in the air could be less than the lead they were given when superman noticed them teleport, deduce where they were going and then take off after them. He had to slow down outside of the earth’s atmosphere. He’s travelled 100 trillion light years in a matter of days. Pluto to
Earth should be instant.

Not sure why he can't just have....flown from Pluto to Earth after they arrived on Earth? As in, what makes this a wrong interpretation?

Sure that’s possible too but that’s an even better feat.
They teleport, he’s scanning the solar system sees them materializing on earth and gets there at just around the same time they materialize.
Yeah. Phildo is many things, but he's very careful with his choice of words (he's been this way ever since he got cuckolded by a librarian with a dictionary). Hence Superman 'overpowers' teleportation.

I guess that depends on if we're talking about the beams themselves(I.E, before hitting the target and starting the teleportation) or the teleportation the beams create
I just remembered that JLA story where Adam Strange kidnapped the JLA to help him against the Entarans:

So I think Philo was right to say "overcomes teleportation" because he basically neuters their escape strategy... but "overcome" is different than "outrace"
Originally posted by DarkSaint85It's funny because I did, in fact, intentionally formulate it like that, because I do think at best it's up to interpretation whether he raced the teleportation itself [I do not think he did]. Still -- in moments scanning their cloaked location and travelling from Pluto is good.

Overcomes. As in, he was overcome by that librarian.
