It’s hard to just go with it. They could have framed the scene much better, making the fodder look stupid and incompetent doesn’t make the character look any better.

You should watch how Order 66 was depicted in Fallen Order ahahah. In my head I think Maul was just dodging those shots

ie. Maul knew what the end result would be, but he didn't know all of the individual steps required to get there.

laughing out loud Fair point.

Mace still seemed salty AF.

Honestly, I just took it as him having more important shit to worry about, and if Ahsoka wasn't going to commit to the Jedi Order, then he wasn't going to waste time briefing her.

I always assumed a few hours passed between Mace's death and when Sid issued order 66, because when the B team fought sidious it looked like it was afternoon/dusk, while when anakin attacked the temple it was in the middle of the night. But in this episode it seems like it occured shortly after

It was always meant to be immediately afterwards.

As Sidious himself says, "We must move quickly." They had no reason to wait. Waiting even an hour or so would bring major undo risk upon themselves.

Any thoughts what that Mandalorian prison cell that they used to hold Maul was made out of?

I’ve always hated Mace. Guy is a douche

Welp another amazing episode. This one was a total ride; the action was unrelenting and intense.

And holy shit that ending! What a perfect way to end the series.

Damnation. Fantastic episode.

The final scene where [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Vader showed up at the crash site gave me chills. thumb up

Really amazing way to end the series. Loved it.

So does this confirm that Maul could have owned Ahsoka with the force if he had tried?

Oh and Rex displayed more accuracy with his weapon in this, than pretty much any trooper in the history of SW, lol.

Interesting that he opted to take the saber with him... I still wonder what happened to the sabers he collected in canon?

Also, I'm assuming the bird flying overhead was Morai? Nice little detail, imo.

yeah it was definitely Morai. I think Vader may have still been somewhat fond of Ahsoka in canon. When they met, he asked her to surrender, promising the Emperor would forgive her. Not exactly something he does with other jedi.

I wonder how far in the future that scene took place? Ahsoka's saber was all rusted, and the graves were buried under snow, so I'm guessing quite a few years?

Filoni states that Maul is a stronger swordfighter than Ahsoka, and goes on to state that Maul's overconfidence and underestimating his opponent was ultimately his undoing(like always):
