While I liked Busiek's JLA/Avengers, he underwrote Kyle a bit..
Since nearly day one, he was creating all kinds of power armors and strength enhancements to just beat down bricks. Even beat down Kalibak with a Mjolnir inspired hammer, in just two hits. Easier than time displaced Hal beat him.
Yeah and before that kalibak oneshotted him. Hal beat kalibak easily. As for the fight simon has become a joke now. Classic simon can get 3-4/10 on kyle.
Hey, Kalibak's tough. But my point, is when Kyle gets serious, he can slug it out with the best of them.
Are you thinking of rookie time displaced Hal, or another fight? Hal did beat Kalibak, but through his wits. Hit for hit, Hal's oversized mallet did less damage than Kyle's Mjolnir shots.
Kyle messed him up. Superman surviving it is expected, because he's Superman, but that's pretty impressive imo..

Abhi said it is, and I'm not calling him a liar, but I thought Kyle as Iron 2 had a different look. Here, he looks like "classic" Kyle.

He was accessing Ion power left in the sun by hallax at that point. That comic is just after OWAW and in OWAW:Green Lantern it was confirmed that kyle was accessing Ion power since circle of fire. He became Ion just a few months after that comic.

Yeah, that's more of a feat for Superman then Kyle, in that case.
